My day has been just awful in a stressful/funny way. I teach toddlers so it's always a little crazy. Today was the worst. So in the late morning today one toddler decided to grab anothers face and push them to the ground. As I was cleaning up that child another child ran by me crying and went to the quiet area. So I went to help him. As I am picking him up blood comes pouring out of his mouth. YIKES! I say. It turns out he bit his tongue really hard and bled. Then 2 children decide to sit on another child's head. Needless to say the child at the bottom of the pig pile is not happy. Also at this time a few other children are screaming because they don't want diaper changes or are made at me because I told them that biting their friends is not ok. Luckily one of the directors of my center came and found an extra pair of hands to help my classroom. But then came to afternoon......one of my toddlers exploded!!!!!!!!! A complete diaper blowout!!! Up the back outside the back of the pants! It got on one of our big foam blocks, on the floor...on another child. So we had to take the class out of our room...after the children were cleaned up and my coteacher bleached down our room with a bleach and water solution. So my room was in the play gym for a long time until the bleach solution dried and the smell dissipated. My day was just lousy. I needed to vent and see if anyone else finds humor in exploding children

I'm sorry you had a bad day, but yes I found exploding children very funny. :p

Oh, you poor thing! Prop your feet up and rest for the entire evening.... you deserve it.:teeth:

Yikes! I need a nap just from reading your post!!!! LOL
What a day you've had!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope your evening is much more relaxing!

actually DH probably feels your pain more than I do. He's a SAHD and he's been thru it all with 2 DS:

DH was on the computer, hears giggles and splashing around the corner in the hallway. Checks it out... DS (1.5 at the time) had a diarheal (sp?) blowout and was dancing and splashing in his stuff.

2nd time, DS 2 (2 at the time) decides to blowout, got all over the floor. DS 1 sees it and immediately pukes his guts out on the same floor.

Not to mention he's been peed at by both DSs.

I laugh hysterrically of course, however I don't think he found it funny at all.:teeth:

I came home got myself an ice cold hard cider and called my mom to tell her then i called my best friend. My only hope is that there is no way 2 days in a row can be equally horrible. I'm holding on to that hope so I can get to tomorrow.

Now I'm going to bed...I need to rest up to face tomorrow. I swear the nine toddlers in my classroom are all smarter than I am...it scares me:scared:

I used to work in a daycare, I know all too well how fun it can be sometimes. I only worked part time, but I was always exhausted by the end of my shift.
I worked the toddler room and the 2 yo room.

I can totally understand, I work in the 2 year old room and have had days like that.

It must be in the air today!! My normally very easy going sweet 2 year old was a MONSTER today. Hopefully tomorrow is smoother for all of us!!
