Looking for good steak for one table service, not Le Cellier (not available)....ideas??

Anne

I've never had it, but I've heard pretty good things about the rib-eye at the Grand Floridian Cafe. It's a good restaurant in general, so I wouldn't be surprised if it really was a good steak.

The Wave. We preferred it over Le Cellier, in fact.

Fabulous beef tenderloin. Best service we had all week. I loved the dessert trios.

I love the ribeye at Whispering Canyon. Get it everytime and have never been disappointed.
Self proclaimed beef/steak lover, eat it at least 2-3 times a week and can safely say this is one of the best I have ever had.

The steak at Captain's Grille was excellent when we visited a few months ago.

Grand Floridian Cafe has a choice of 2 great steaks, the rib eye, praised earlier, and the strip, which I love. Tender and delicious, they come with gruyere potatoes and a veggie. The roasted corn was to die for. This is just one of several good places to get a great steak, but it's my fave(so far).

DH loved his steak at Mama Melrose this xmas week..better than the prime rib at Le Cellier! we did F! package there and had a great meal, both of us and did not find any of the negatives posted here recently. Great service(although leisurely), wonderful food and loved getting app, entree and dessert with (1TS)DDP credit and F!package.

another vote for Grand Floridian Cafe. We had the NY strip and it was really very good. The potatoes that came with it were fabulous. We had two baskets of the bread and butter w/sea salt. We shared the dessert trio---OH MY GOSH. A beautiful restaurant too!

Captains Grille or The Wave. We ate at both in November and they were very good.

I agree the Wave great steak (but to DW and me nothing is better then the mushroom filet at Le Celler but I guess other then the lunch menu this will end soon) and the trios loved them. Last October we actually walked up and got in to Le Cellier on a Saturday during a crowded Wine Festival day couldn't believe it. We also like the Filet at San Angle so last October we were there 8 nights and had 6 steak filets dinners and 1 steak and shrimp dinner at the Yak & Yeti.

Enjoy them all...but for out of the way! Maya Grill and Mama Melrose have good beef!

We've had good steak at Coral Reef and Captains Grill, however the best steak from our last trip was from Chefs Du France.

DH also had the "surf & turf" from Rose and Crown and liked it very much!

Another thumbs up :thumbsup2for the steak at Captain's Grille in the Yacht Club.

Here's a link to my review of the restaurant along with a couple of photos.
