So today was the big day. Superguy and E's (my nephew)first ever rock concert. :-D
Had breakfast at McDonald's then headed out to Ft. Worth for the show. Thanks to the GPS, we found it easily and found the parking garage within about 5 min time. Superguy had to go to the bathroom, so I took him downstairs to the bathrooms and when we came back out, we ran into J(my SIL), B( her hubby) and E who was VERY excited.
Found our seats, which were about halfway back on the floor section in the middle of the row. This was a big mistake. *L* I don't think the Movers stayed put during the show at all.
At one point towards the very end, Rich was kneeling on the stage, fiddling with his guitar and I remember thinking, "I betcha he snapped a string." Yup. He did. He handed the guitar to an offstage roadie who offered him another guitar and he waved it off saying he didn't need it.
It was so awesome, seeing them in concert. I think I was just as excited as Superguy and E. *L* And there were kids of all ages..from about birth (srsly!) to second or third graders. Parents of all shapes and sizes, though most looked like they were about my age or thereabouts.
The concert also featured special Guest Mover Kyle, who took care of drums because Rich was fronting the band, running up and down the aisles giving high fives, jumping into the boxes. *L* Just climbing right up the side (they were just off the floor, so he wasn't climbing like high or anything) and jumping in with the people who were sitting there.
But overall, it was a great show..loud, lots of energy, kids screaming and dancing and it was just..cool. I was sorry when it was over because I kinda wanted it to go on FOREVER.
I did save the ticket stubs. I put them in Superguy's memory box, so we'll always have a way to look back and remember this day. :-D
