The, "I'll pose for pics & sign autographs" B-day tour! WEEERE BAAACK!!!!

I am so excited for you...never done the Dis cruise so you will have to tell me all the details!!! ;) Please come join me for our weight loss thread....I know you will find support!

Well, we are going on The Wonder for 3 days following our 4-day stay at AKL.I booked a stateroom with a verandah and signed us up for a dolphin excursion. That should be fun. Since this is our first cruise, I don't really know what to expect, but I'm sure we'll figure it out as we go. I'll be sure to tell you all about it when we return! I can't wait!

Looking forward to more regarding your upcoming trip! :cool1:

I sit here and watch my daughter pack for her trip to Fort Meyers Beach! :scared1: She was asked by a friends just on Monday so it has been crazy getting everything ready so fast!

It is getting me even more excited for our trip and I just realized I had not told you and exciting update!

Our room at the Poly just got transformed from a garden view to a Magic Kingdom View and I am ready to see some fireworks from a patio!!

Does anyone have any experience at the Poly in a MK view? I could use some help for requesting a building!

The kids think we are still going...I will let them think we had to cancel a little closer to departure! I am so evil! BWAAAAAA;)

What I find funny is that none of them want to help plan. Not out of basic teenage laziness....but rather because they like to be surprised. They have said they want to eat at

LeCelliar, Kona's and Beaches & Cream for the Kitchen Sink ice cream extravaganza! :cool1:

They do not know we are staying at the Poly...that will be a surprise...and they do not know what parks etc. we are doing...

Which is good because...I do not know the itinerary yet either! :rotfl2:

My goal this weekend is to do exactly that...get the plans itemized, dining plan thought through...and I also could use some feedback o that!

Has anyone gone with the new dining plan? The new basic one or upgraded?

Lot's to do....lots to do....:rolleyes1

Okay my lurkers....
I need your opinion and I need your help...I feel very alone right now in this planning because all the kids want to be surprised...

Treyner in fact just said....I am leaving Minnesota for my birthday...I don't care if we just sit at the pool....anything after we get there is a bonus.

I am so proud of him...he is so gracious and not selfish...but now I am stuck!

So here is some specific questions I would love some help on please!

#1 What are some extras at the holiday season we should do besides seeing the parks (like water sprites...certain htels to see decorated etc...)

#2 What are your favorite restaurants and why???

#3 What is your favorite building to stay at at OKW? (We will have a 2 bedroom)

#4 What is your favorite MK view room at the POLY?

#5 Where should I order his cake from?

#6 Any exciting extras you can think of to ask from Guest Services to make his stay very special???

#7 Favorite things to do at the parks at Christmas time??

#8 What can I do to make this birthday the most special (18th and his senior year)

Okay...I know sometimes I read trip reports and don't correspond but I hope some of you will with some specific questions. :worship:

I AM ON MY KNEES PEOPLE....and I am heavy so the rest of my future walking upright depends on your prompt response!!!No guilt intended...just a complete guilt trip...idling wastes time!!! :lmao:

THANK YOU!!!!:flower3:

I've been enjoying your pre-trip report so far. Sounds like you are going to have a great time.

I can only answer a couple of your questions. Some of my favorite restaurants are LeCellier and O'Hana's. Those are the two places that we always have to eat each trip. The food is really good. For making your son's birthday special, how about going to Whispering Canyon Cafe? They always seem to have a good time with people's birthdays. I would only do this if your son doesn't mind getting embrassed a little.

weight + weight + water + double tube + rollercoaster slide + swimsuit + slightly stupid lifeguard = I am going to die!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Thank you so much for this story. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes! Plus now I know I do not need to go on Crushin Gusher on our trip.

He is used to being humiliated...he is my son and that alone makes embarrasement a pre-requisite! :lmao:

I ate once at WC and I was not impressed with the food...have you eaten there...maybe it was just an off night...:confused3

Well that is just a big ole thankee to the heart...I love it knowing I can make you tear up at my anus's expense!! Do you pluralize the word "anus" I am not sure since you have just one...I think?! :p

I say go on the ride..just go with the knowledge that there is an invisible weight restriction...I would say 300 pounds and under is golden...maybe 400...but push 600 and you too can not defy gravity by riding the ceiling...I still have nightmares...therapy is not working well either because they just laugh at you...I feel like Rodney Dangerfield and get no respect!

I do have another funny I can post...about another trip with my friend Jodi...I posted it on my weight loss thread...but will be happy to humiliate myself here as well!!!:upsidedow

Oh goodie! :cool1: As soon as my aunt woke up this morning I made her read your tale and she laughed until tears formed as well. I will take the caution. I believe I don't want to send my 9 year old light weight down with my DH or Adam maybe rocketed to the ceiling as well.

:rolleyes1 So Me and Jodi...(AKA MaMaBearJo) went to the World on a girl's trip. That would be her 2 teenage beauties...Hanna Sara, my daughter Carsyn and Hanna's friend Dana. Weight wise all the girls are approx 140-170ish...great shaped...athletic girls. Then there is us...Hubba and Bubba...I will never say which is who...and we think that Blizzard Beach sounds grand.

(For those who remember the Crush N Gusher Story...yeah...this is a pre-quel and it does not involve the same friend...)

Sooo....after freezing because it was raining that day....we did the Tobaggan Racers. Yeah...good idea...put a fat chick on a stamp sponge and see how fast she can fly! :confused3

So we smartly lined up...let others go in front so we can all slide together...and we waited for the go -ahead and I could hear the Olympic Medal calling. It may have been zinc...but it was calling out!

"YOOO HOOO....TUBBY TALLULAH....Don't ya want me...." :wave2:

So I geared my sponge mat...I lifted the front for greater speed...I placed my piglets firmly on the ground for precesion take off...and

NADA!!! :sad2:

I layed firmly where I started and my take off was that of Nicole Richie at a Buffet.

Day changed to night...Spring turned to Summer :beach:
...Bird's came and migrated...and me and Bubba....

d@mn...you took it out of me...

stayed still...listening to Hans and Frans the lifeguards flex...

So we...did what any upstanding, patriotic chubola, citizens would do...we lurched forward...did a death defying belly flop onto the water that would even carry Shamu to the sea...and finally...praise Jesus...started downhill. ::yes::

For a moment...we looked good...svelt even..
okay not really but give me sumpin sumpin...
and the the hill became an evil Dictator who said we were badd baddd girls and must pay.

So...pay up at the pump we did...

the teens...were already careening down the second hump...

and we...

we not only had a chance to come from behind...we beat them due to our behinds. In fact we did not just beat them...we went past them at the end...cause fat flies and does not stop nicely and gracefully mid finish line.... :cheer2:

Ahhh Hel* no....we aint no stinkin quitters....we will finish this baby in style...even if this means eating the padded stoppers placed as decoy barricades at the end of the ride.

Now all that I can say about that...is I did finish with all my parts still attached...even the girls (my personal ones...as opposed to the girl I gave birth to) and their little buttons. :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2

Jodi...was dryer than I was at the start of the ride...

and as she skidded sideways into the finish post...and onto the wave pool below...she said...perhabs a better explanative would be screamed... :scared:

"I left my niPPl* back there!".

I wet myself till Tuesday...because she was literally holding her left breast...and it was not a BTW kinda scream...but more of an...
"I am in labor and want narcotics yell!" :scared1:

So we went off to the First Aid station...and they said this happens all the time...and guess what...she got a faux tootie! A prostetic pidipple! I mean the thing is as real as the nose on your face and versitile!!! She can just pop that sucker on and off like a pair of sunglasses. :3dglasses

So...next time you are searching/stealing lost change at the bottom of slides at the Disney Water parks...look out for a missing appendage...we were horrible and left a soldier behind......

But...I hear there is a reward...MaMaBearJo's hubby is offering $500 for anyone with information leading to the capture and return of his ole Lucy...

"Picked a fine time to leave me Lucy...3 hungry kids and a man whose wife has only 1 nip...
I've had some bad times...
lived through some sad times...
but nothing like old, one-eye, patchy tit!"

Please tell me someone else thinks this is funny cause...I am laughing my hind end off and my daughter...up studying for finals...thinks her mama is off the deep end.

Here is a story about why my quest for weight loss is such a huge undertaking for me...and why exercise isn't always an easy solution...and why now...I have 100 pounds to lose before my trip in December and why you all should feel sorry for me and stop lurking and start inputting your opinions cause my life has been rough...some may even say tuff...:)

My girlhood best friend is small. She has since had 5 kids and although does not exercise ever...has a size 7 body and although neked...not pretty...who walks around neked most of the time???

So I have had 3 kids in 1996 and that summer got a pair of BRAND NEW ROLLER BLADES!!! Skinny decides we should go out and try them together by a new apartment complex that would be very smooth for me and my uncoordinated 160 pound self!! :thumbsup2

So...off we go...discussing nothing important...turn into the apartment complex and...proceeded to be gradually picking up speed as the driveway slopes into a hill and at the bottom of hill is a roundabout once you are 50 feet in. :scared:

I am laughing at first... :rotfl2:

I then realize that the slope is now a steep slope and I cannot stop. :sad2: My friend..ole skinny...casually slows down and steps off into the grass.... :snooty:

me...and my BRAND NEW ROLLER BLADES....are fast! No scuffing yet on those puppies...so I am thinking I will face death and win....because at the bottom of the slope...is a grassy area that the roundabout encircles.

I will take a face plant in the grass any day.

Unfortunately...

Mr. Rock decided I need an exfoliate because I hit the rock of Gibraltar at 40MPH! This far exceeded BTW, posted signs of "Children at Play" and "Slow Down" or how about "5MPH!" :teacher:

Wham!!!! :scared1:

I skipped like a stone on Lake Superior down the rest of the slope.

You all should be proud, because I knew that I should not put my wrists down for fear of breaking them. :thumbsup2

Ya see I had not bought wrist guards yet since I just had bought my BRAND NEW ROLLER BLADES.

What happened then, was to this day, the most humiliating public outing and painful "as* whooping" of my life. The best part was I gave myself it, thank you! ::yes::

Then I looked up.

There were rednecks in them thar hills...okay on them thar balconies...and them rednecks had enjoyed a few sips of pappy's moonshine...and they laughed...out loud...then laughed...and pointed...and then RedNeck LarryClarence said to RedNeck BillyJoe...

"Think we ouuter call for sum help for that thar girl whose as*-skin is litterin our nice new paveyment....huh..ya think...BillyJoe...reckin that's be the good and rightous thing...huh...are ye hearing me ...ya passed out or what???"

So as I laid there, skinny decides to saunter down to wear my meaty carcass remained.

Laughing so hard she should have wet herself because it might of made me feel better! She took off roller blades, helped hold me up as we walk through the weeds and woods to my apartment.

(Meanwhile...back on the patio..LarryClarence was putting peas up BillyJoe's nostrils.)

Once home, it was very apparent that I needed medical attention. (If we would have had cell phones back then an ambulance would have been called.)

I had on shorts on this excursion and needed 2 hours...no joke.. of debris removal. My legs and buttocks had road rash with nice new tar!

But the kicker - as I was bent over the table to expose my goods to Dr. Dorfus...I kept saying that I felt like I broke something... He said..yup ya did..

He shoves his pointy little finger in the crack of my goods...and says...

"Feel this?"
I screamed YESSS!!!

He says.. "That is not supposed to move at all"...meanwhile he is wiggling "that" like it is wax fishing worm. :scared:

Ya see...I broke my Coccyx...which some people refer to as their tailbone...it is the end of the line of your spine and it ends in your behind...and guess what...oh yeah baby...they cannot cast your AS* so I had to lay face down..pant-less..for 2 weeks strait on the couch...stand to pee...don't ask cause i wont tell...and avoid any food that resembles fiber...

I did drop 20 pounds though from that ordeal...
where are those SLIGHTLY USED BUT NOT EVER AGAIN ROLLER BLADES???

:rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Another laugh until my sides hurt tears running down my face story!

If you weigh in on Friday and lost weight this week...it is because I made you laugh off the pounds!!!

BTW...please tell me your Aunt is of sound mind and body and is not some sad comatose woman who doesn't have the chance to tell you to stop inflicting my stories on her life!

Do you think you could make me laugh enough to lose 40 pounds in the 12 days I have until I leave for Disney World. Because that would awesome! :)

My aunt is of very sound mind. Check out my pre-trip report and see. She is a wise, wise woman!:snooty:

I am excited to read it....and I am jealous of your imminent departure! I wish I could say that I was leaving in 12 days....off to steal some paint chip heads from Home Depot to make a weight loss tally chart (1 head per pound) and my trip leaving chart...I am just glad the day tracker will be longer!!!:lmao:

Seriously...thanks for not making me feel like I am writing a personal diary to myself!:goodvibes

I ate at Whispering Canyon last year and enjoyed it. I travel with my sister and my nieces. We all got the skillet because my nieces love ribs. We are planing on going back again this year. We mainly went for the atmosphere as my nieces are 4 and 6. They got a kick out of everything and actually have asked to go back there again so we are.

I remember that night a little boy was having a birthday and the waitress had all of the little girls in the place come up and sing happy birthday to him. I thought that was really cute and funny.

Thanks for the info..maybe we will try it again...

Has anyone else used the new dining plans???? Which one and what is your thoughts on the value???

I was not kidding that I would love some input here folks...maybe you think I am just asking for your opinion as a way to break the ice...not so much...:sad2:

I am desperate for some help on what to do with the dining plan????

Plus the other questions I nicely labeled out....

Shall I intice you with free Tupperware??? I have a boatload....like $15,000 worth....

How bout puttin a free piece of Tupperware sent to the first 20 that respond to my questions???

In order to collect...you must answer all of them....and that will be it...I will mail you a gift card so you can pick out your own piece even! I am so serious right now
....I am having a anxity attack and will reward kindness from strangers with plastic!!! :rotfl:

So who's your Mama???

Thanks for the info..maybe we will try it again...

Has anyone else used the new dining plans???? Which one and what is your thoughts on the value???

I've used the basic dining plan in each of my past three visits. The first two years we got it when they were offering it for free. Last year we paid for it. This year we got it again for free. In the past it was a great deal and convenience because everything was taken care of. This year it should be a good deal for my family again. Even with the tips not included I think it is still worth it. Now for your family, they all would be considered adults. Have you taken a look at the menus over at allears? If you think that they would have no problem eating all of that food then it might be a good idea to get the plan.

We have used the DDP (basic) for our last 4 trips and decided this past trip was it...we are done with the DDP. We actually find it too limiting (not in terms of food at all...but in terms of schedule). While the value was great (particularly before the changes) remember that our 3 kids are ALL kid price. Also, it is just WAY WAY WAY too much food for us...and DH and I both love to eat and couldn't finish.

When we go out for a "normal" dinner here at home...he and I usually split one appetizer and then each get an entree and no dessert. For lunch, we are soup and half a sandwich types (or salad and half a sandwich when it is hot). So we decided that next trip we will use the DDE card (20% off) and we will make ADRs for lunches and dinners each day. I would rather have to smaller sit down meals each day as opposed to one ginormous meal. We always found CS to be an issue.

Again, that is just us. You have 3 teens...do they eat you out of house and home? Think about that...FOUR desserts TWICE a day among you. Would they eat that much? Or do you want them to?

Happy planning, girlfriend!

Well we are using the Deluxe Dining Plan, and I'll let you know how I feel about it after we get back.

We decided to go with the deluxe plan because we wanted more of our food prepaid for, and I was worried that on the regular plan I would always be thinking about how many credits we had left. This way I know we are pretty much covered. Plus we are doing two signature meals that are 2 credits each, CRT and Brown Derby.

Most days we only have one adr scheduled, though we do have a few days with two. I figure we can always call and cancel if we decide we'd rather do counter service. Well not CRT, but I'm not worried about not wanting to do that one.:goodvibes
