Hi, Hello & Welcome to my very first PTR

I have been planning this trip a loooonnnnngggggg time.....Since our last WDW trip in 2006 in fact. We booked our cruise at a whopping 70% off the rack rate way back & everything else was planned around it. We've redeemed our frequent flyer miles for our tickets and so we fly out Sept 29. Waahoo! Had to change out our resorts a few times but they are finally set. For the 1st portion we're staying at POR which we love for its beautiful grounds & landscaping, the boat launch & old man island


Joining us midway through the land portion will be Aunt Di

After Aunt Di joins us on Oct 5th we're moving to a 1 bedroom at the Beach Club. I know, I know....it will still be a bit tight but at least I can do some laundry

Making a late appearance will be our most wonderful BFF Sam & Tricia. These 2 most awesomest friends have done several vacays with our family over the years. This trip they are staying at the GF.....Wow!

And then the last leg of our trip.....We hop on the Magic for the 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise to St. Johns, St. Croix & Castaway Cay

Joining us on the boat will be our very good friends Meg & Tim

With their DS Ethan (in the red cap) & DD Macey (in the pink cap)

Yowza......quite a crew we're gathering!

Most are for dinner, just the Akershus and H&V are lunches. Most of these places we have never been in but we sure are looking forward to trying. DH, Aunt Di & our friends are not morning people. Actually neither is DD or myself but we will be boucing out of bed at WDW! I know many, many folks do not like sticking to a schedule but to dine like this is worth it for us. On our previous trips to most anywhere I always stress about how much moola we're spending so I tend to not eat what I really want. This time? I'm eating large, dessert too.

Now I'm kinda excited about the princess lunch. I bought a pretty dress off ebay nwt & very cheap for DD. I wanted something she could wear after the lunch & not worry that it would fall apart like some of her dress up costumes have done. This is what I found.




I also booked the Pirate League for DS & the Bayou Pirate Cruise for both kids. So for DS, also off ebay nwt & cheap:




Now if I could only figure out our days......

In my sparetime, when not running after my DS & DD or the other 2 boys I watch for extra moola I've been working on door magnets. I'm pretty happy with how they are coming out. Just got them printed by shutterfly & will get them laminated & stuck on sticky magnetic paper I bought from Michaels.










DH is terrified of sharks.........he says that if there is a shark, anywhere, it is coming for him

I'll be following along with you. We'll be there Oct 2 thru Oct 10. We will be at Akershus on the 6th also for breakfast -9:30. Party of 6 with almost 3 yr old(DGD) in her new Cinderella dress, and our 8yr old DGS.
The planning and waiting have been alot of fun, and now it feels like it will come and go too quick. We don't know when we'll be able to go again.

I agree.....the planning has been a lot of fun. This trip has been on my mind constantly & I've just about alienated my friends with all my Disney talk. I know they think I'm completely gaga! DH listens with a half-ear & is more tolerant of my chatter now then he was 2 years ago. I think the bug has finally bitten him.

For us too; This trip may have to last another 3 or more years. DH was injured assisting at an accident & burned a portion of lung tissue. It was a toss up as to whether or not we would go on this trip but since it doesn't really matter where he is~the effects are the same~& the family needed a trip after waiting he we go

We are SE of Tucson in a small town called Vail; We love it

I'm going to try the "self laminating" idea with the clear contact paper. Have you ever done that?

No, we're not a group. We just happen to live in the same city and happen to have the same flight to Orlando. Just a coincidence, nothing more.

DH doesn't like the polka dotted ribbon......says it's too girly but I thought it perfect. But I am a girl..........

Thank you blue & JD! I know I've not personalized them & so run a good chance of having them taken but I'm hoping that Disney spirit & a zip tie will deter folks.

It's neat what a glue gun can do! No sewing; just glue, stickers, a touch of paint & ribbons

So I am sitting here this morning going over some other threads I've subscribed to....I lurk a lot! And I'm now very nervous that my favorite chocolate croissants & ham & cheese croissants at Boulangerie (Epcot) are no longer offered as a snack on DDP! I know it probably seems silly but I adore those things & have been looking forward to them. Just buy them OOP right? But with all the other snacks will we really want more? I could just go from frozen latte to kringla to crepe au chocolat? YUM! Will I even want one after all that goodness?

Probably........I do love to eat! As unhealthy as it sounds I firmly plan to not diet & realize I will gain about 10lbs by the end of the trip. Even with marathon days at the parks. On our last WDW trip years ago DH gained 10 & me 5 just at 8 days. But it was so worth it

And yes, I am thinking about food 25 days away

Are you sure you can't talk DH into just trying one out? They come as short as 3 nights & can really give you a good taste. If you buy them in advance or very last minute you can get a whopping good price. Plus it includes wonderful kid clubs for those over 3yrs, no extra cash. The food is great too!

We were unsure if we would like it so we tried the 3 night, then the 4 night, then the 7.........We are hooked!

Yes, I'm not sure even I would make that attempt. DH has a big appetite Watch those fingers!


So last night I spent hours consummed (it was a happy consummed) with making lots of _______ for the FEs. Got to do a few more but almost there. DH thinks I'm going overboard with the trip but he even thought they were really cool. I sure hope you cruisers do too!

Wish there was something similar at the resorts but I can just imagine the potential problems. Oh well.
