The "I bought the BEST gift" thread!

Did you ever just pick out a gift that you KNOW the recipient will love! Not expect it! Didn't know they wanted/needed it? Be totally thrilled with it???? LOL.....okay.......let's just settle for a magical gift that you HOPE will be well received, kay?

I bought DS some Marvin the Magician Magic Cards and a couple of exotic tricks. (No, no sawing women in half type stuff). You know, missing coins......scarves that magically reconnect.....that kind of stuff.

Since he's heavily into Harry Potter and constantly tries to do card tricks, I HOPE he'll be thrilled beyond belief.

How 'bout you? Have you bought ANYTHING this year that you think will be the cat's pajamas????

With some help from a Santa's elf (dumboorbust) I'll have a Stitch pin for my 8yo DD to replace one she lost in June when we were at WDW and they were sold out after that and a new TOT pin for my 11yo DD that she doesn't even know has been released.

I also had a Lee Middleton doll repaired for my 8yo DD that some of her cousins tore up , I really wasn't expecting it but it was returned to us as good as new in less than 2 weeks so I'm going to put it under the tree. She'll be so excited to have her baby all better.

I bought a gift for someone that I am thrilled with! LOL! I only hope that they like it! I just saw it and fell in love with it and thought they might enjoy it as much as I do! LOL! I am very, very happy with at least three gifts that I bought for others this year. LOL!

Ok, I am weird but here goes...I got my parents a cell phone, it was about time. The cool thing is what we are giving with the cell phone. While we were in WDW we went to eat at Bongos at PI. They had a gift store so I went in. They had a replica of a 1958 Havana white and yellow pages. I found my family in it. Uncles, Aunts, grandparents, family friends...ok so I got emotional, because I was seeing a peice of my history. It was cool, and I hope they like it as much as I did finding it

I got my mom a camcorder! I'm 23 and my youngest brother is 3. Almost every day I hear her say how she wished she had a video camera to tape all the things happening with my brother and how she wished she would have had one when I and my other two brothers were little. Needless to say, I cannot wait until Christmas Eve!! Of course, she'll want to use it on Christmas so I'm going to give it to her the night before.

My co-workers and I got one of our bosses a microwave. She was living like a cavewoman and had never had one. Made her cry. I love it when you give a gift that makes someone cry...LOL

Cant wait for DS to give his godmother (my friend Carol) the angel Eeyore we bought for her for Christmas. Dont usually spend money on this type of gift (usually buy more practical) but I honestly believe she's gonna love it! She enjoys decorating her house for Christmas and I know she will find a perfect home for Eeyore.

I bought DH a new ham radio... the latest and greatest.... tiny and covers ALL bands that could conceivably be of interest! LOL

Why is it that men go into raptures over BIG things... but when it comes to electronics... the tinier it is... the better.

I know he will be thrilled with it... he has been drooling over it for about 6 months. It was horribly expensive ... which is why he did not just break down and buy it for himself.

I got DH a DVD player and "Band of Brothers" 6 Disc set! AND, I got him a game for DS's gamecube ! He does not expect these at all, only thinks he is getting stuff from his list (boring list which I did buy from too!) ! Each child is getting some surprises they should enjoy(Zipzaps and accessories for DS and MK playset for DD in addition to wish list items).

OMG! I saw this thread this morning, then went out shopping for my DH (thinking only clothes) and I got him the bestest gift... I was even crying in the mall I was so happy!

Here it is... A local boxer that he likes was boxing in a match locally on October 18. He really really wanted to go see him but couldn't since we were in Disney. Baby Joe Mesi is the boxer's name if anyone knows him.

Anyways, he was really sad he missed out. Today, I was going to the mall, and halfway there changed my mind and went to a different mall. Bought some clothes in Penney's and continued walking the mall. (By the way, being knowledgable about DISNEY actually helps you deal with Christmas mall traffic... a crowd is a crowd... lol). In center court was BABY JOE MESI signing autographs! OMG! So, I bought a hat and had him sign it. He signed it, "JAY, ALL MY BEST, BABY JOE MESI"!

I'm so excited! I can't wait to see him open it and see that it is autographed TO HIM!! YAY!!!

I got my Doctor Monsters Inc dvd,a Save The Children tie, and a really cool Lego pen, he is a Lego nut. I also gave him a box of Godiva to share with his fiancé. It was hit he was so happy.
He gave me the new Aladan hour glass snowglobe. I just love it.
