Good Morning Hyenas. DH and the kids are off to the races and I have a busy day planned. Headed off to town with my bff this morning.

We are going to Fred Meyer's first...they are remodeling one of the Vancouver stores and sent some awesome coupons out. Not to mention that they are giving away FREE donuts & coffee this morning until 11am, then at noon they switch over to FREE rootbeer floats. So I'm thinking we show up at about 10:45 and take advantage of both.

I have plenty of slacks, just need some dressy shirts. Unfortunately I have a problem with a lot of my existing dressy shirts. My left arm has swollen due to lymphedema and many of my fall/winter dress shirts are non-stretchy blouses w/button up sleeves. They don't stretch at all, so are very tight on my left arm and it drives me bonkers. So I'm thinking I might swing by Kohls, or maybe JC Penny...they just opened a new one up this month by my workplace.

Wow, another gorgeously sunny, cold day in Seattle!

I can't believe it, but I slept in until nearly 9 AM! As soon as my eyes opened, I realized that we were double-booked this morning, so I shot out of bed like a cannon and hopped into the shower.

Weeks ago my neighborhood friend told me about a free play held every fall at a local nursery. She always takes her girls, and wondered if the boys and I would like to go with them. The play this year is Hansel and Gretel, and it sounded like fun, so we made plans to go to the first performance... today.

Yesterday afternoon I was not feeling terribly perky, and DH asked if we could go to his dad's for lunch... or did we have any plans? (His dad needed some computer work done.) Well, I wasn't quite with it, didn't have my schedule in front of me, we never have plans on Sundays... so sure, I said, we can go have lunch with the in-laws.

Anyway, so I explained the problem to DH, who was rightfully a tad annoyed with me. I had told the boys about the play and DS8 was not all that interested, so I suggested a compromise: How about if DS4 and I go to the play with our friends, and then go to the in-laws afterward? DH and DS8 could go as expected. He said fine.

So we did. The play was very cute, the kids had a great time. I'd been a little worried DS4 wouldn't sit still through the whole thing, but he did GREAT, I was so pleased! And after the play, we rushed over to the in-laws.

We arrived just in time for lunch, as it happened. MIL wasn't feeling well, and apparently they tried to call us during the play to tell us not to come! But we had to turn our phones off and didn't get the message. So hoepfully whatever it is that she's got, hopefully it's not anything contagious... I felt bad for showing up and having her work on lunch when she didn't fell well, but she'd already done all the cooking, so I just set the table and helped serve.

When it was time to go, DS4 and Grampa were watching a Mickey cartoon, and he wanted to finish it. Grampa said it had a lot more to go, and offered to lend it to us, so we brought it home. DH went to get groceries, and when I found DS4, he was trying to stick the DVD into the player. He tried to slam the DVD back into the case when I caught him (he's not supposed to touch DVDs because he's too rough with them), so I turned on the player and went to take the DVD out for him to watch... only it was broken!

So hopefully DH has found a replacement DVD at the store, and we are now watching Tarzan.

Too bad we didn't get those in our ad this week. But hopefully DH got DS4 some new socks (buy 2 get 1 free) and some Fujis and more Halloween candy...

Afternoon.... Sooo.. I almost shot my husband today. Yesterday, I said wanted to go to Costco today. He is getting really paranoid about me doing stuff on my own, and prefers to take me when I need to get stuff done. Sometimes... I sneak out on my own with the kids while he is sleeping.. But he yells, and I dont do it again for a while.

ANYHOO. I gt out of bed, and he fixes me a bath... I wash up, all the normal stuff. We take the kids out fro donuts, thats what they wanted.. Then we get in the van, and I am assuming we are headed to Costco. NOT. He turns the wrong WAY. Where are we going?? The LEGO store. In BELLEVUE. OH BOY. Just what I wanted to do. Ride in the car for an hour, and prance all over the mall.

Not fun, and he still has to take me to costco.

FUNNY story.. My hubby took me out to lunch, on account I was feeling so bad. We went to Famous Daves. WELL. He LOVES pecan pie. Just goes buck wild for it. So I ordered him a slice. They bring it out, and I notice it is steaming. it must be.... you know... HOT. Obviously. It is STEAMING. My husband does NOT notice this.. Takes a huge bite, and starts to yell... Hot!! HOT!!! HOT!!! OMG. I laughed so hard, I almost peed my pants. IM still laughing. Oh YEAH. It was great.

Oh lord. I better think up something quick. DH has had a serious hankering for PIZZA lately. I've managed to hold him off with somewhat healthier fare, but he might bump me off for a slice tonight.

I think we tried Papa John's once, and were not that impressed. It wasn't ... spicy enough, it just seemed really bland.

My favorite is Garlic Jims.. They have KILLER pizza. But I dont like tomato sauce on pizza.. Gives me heart burn. and it tastes like crap. I order light sauce if we get something that has red sauce.
