Did start a PTR a few months ago but it was pitiful so I thought I'd do a proper one now we've only 8 sleeps! :)

The cast
Me (Bec) I'm 28.
Favourite ride: Peter pan (closed on our trip! :( )

DH (Liam) 34.
Favourite ride Tower of Terror

DS1 (Jake) 8
Favourite ride: it's a small world (purely because his dad hates it!! ;) )

DS2 (Max) 7
Favourite ride: it's a small world- for exactly the same reasons as his brother!

DS3 (Zak) 8 months
Favourite ride: his pram!

The trip!
We had been toying with the idea of booking for about 6months and bit the bullet in February. Liam's nan (who is 90 today)was diagnosed with cancer early in the new year and decided she wanted to give her grandchildren their inheritance early so she could see them enjoy it so we put ours towards our trip.
We're leaving home on Saturday 22nd September. We're traveling by car to London where our best friends live on an RAF base just outside central London so we're having a couple of days sight seeing as the kids have never seen Buckingham palace etc. we thought it would be better to distract them the weekend before otherwise they would drive us insane! :)

Our ferry is booked on Monday 24th at 4:20 am, I'm sure this felt like a good idea when we booked but I'm not sure how we'll feel about it on the day!
We should get to sequoia lodge at around 10 am and were hoping to check in and be in the park before 11 am.
I'm hoping for a bit of pixie dust as its our 5th wedding anniversary on the 21st and I'd love a tiny bit of magic! :)

Me and the kids have decided that we need to go on IASW first, because It's one of the few rides Zak can go on but mainly because the song drives Liam insane and the boys are evil! Haha
We don't have firm plans for rides but were going to try and let the kids lead us.
We've already pre paid for a meal at cafe mickey, I'm going to book the table this week but I'm hoping for 6pm.

I haven't really planned any more meals as I want to see how the kids react to cafe mickey. We were watching the DVD from our trip 4 years ago an on seeing Woody in the parade Max said "what on earth is wrong with Woodys head? That mask looks weird" so I'm trying to prepare myself for the kids not being too excited by the characters!
If they arent really interested in the characters I plan on us eating at Annette's, restaurant des stars (for a late lunch) and parkside diner and sadly the kids number 1 choice for dinner is McDonald's, Despite me trying to encourage them into somewhere a bit nicer! If they are more excited about the Characters than I'm expecting I'd really like to go to cowboy cookout so we may sacrifice McDonald's!

Our only other firm plans are needing to see dreams at least 3 nights and the parade probably twice (or more if Zak enjoys it) spending more time in the studios than on our last visit, we only managed 3/4 of a day in there and I felt like I missed out a lot.
Our return crossing is at 8pm on Friday so we should get most of Friday in the parks and then I might cry all the way home!! :(
Thanks for reading (if anyone did)
Bec

I think I remember your reply in the thread I posted about it! I'm so excited, a little nervous about travelling so long with the kids though as we're driving from west Yorkshire! X

It will be split though, we plan to drive down tea time wednesday, hotel near the tunnel, then get up early and drive the rest Thursday morning to get there around lunchtime!
When it was just me and DH we just set off about 11pm and drive right through the night to dlp, messed us up though as we were sooo tired the whole trip because of it! Want to take it easier with the kids lol x

Sorry for hijacking your PTR bec x

I will look out for you, your little girl is adorable! :)
I'm sure the kids will surprise me but they seem more interested in the "big" rides this time. I'm sure once the pixie dust gets them they'll be different! :)
We're eating at cafe mickey on Monday 24th ( exactly a week today! Eeek!)
I have nothing packed yet but we are too laid back to be too organised! I have a suitcase out if that counts?! X

Thanks! I'm hoping Zak will be just as laid back as he is at home, all he does is sleep! My only concern really is how much time he is going to spend in his pram, I'm sure he won't mind as there's lots for him to look at and he's a nosy monkey but I will feel guilty about it. I'm aiming to try and take him for a swim as often as we can to give him a break.

Don't worry about hijacking!
We're driving from south Yorkshire to London, then London to Dover then hopefully straight to DLP without stopping! I'm praying they sleep all the way as we'll be getting them out of bed at 1am!

That's my concern too, I doubt teddy will be at crawling stage by then but someone gave me the tip to take him into the dlh lobby for a crawl around, I hear it's pretty quiet in there!
I'm also planning to do emh (especially on the sat and Sunday) then take him back to the room for an hour or so in the afternoon when it's busier for abit of down time/ nap, roll around etc from what iv heard there a load of rides they can go on on your knee, someone said about using a baby carrier on potc for example so they are strapped to you. Ted is a really laid back baby too so I'm hoping he will be fine so long as we take things slow and make sure he gets a nap etc!
My plan is to get the baby sorted ready for bed, fed etc and oldest ready for bed, then go to McDonald's when we set off for us and the older one, hopefully they will sleep most of the way we plan to set off about 6pm and they normally go to bed at 7ish, then all being well we can just carry them into hotel, up early for the tunnel and I'm hoping that they will sleep most of the morning too as we'll be up early. If not I'm going to take a portable DVD player for the 3yr old to watch some disney films lol and planning to make him a goody bag so he's not bored! X

Good luck! :)
I'll be grateful if we make it all the way there without a meltdown! :) x

6 sleeps to go now! :) :) :)
I've just called and made our reservation for cafe Mickey at 6:15 on Monday and I've sent an email to guest reservations to see if we can get a tiny bit of pixie dust for our wedding anniversary, I won't be upset if we don't but it's worth a try isn't it!
