The hotel at the airport?

Just curious if anyone has stayed at the hotel that is at the airport. I think it is a Hyatt. Playing the airfare game and coming in a day earlier might work out better. It seems convenient to stay there since we would be getting there early evening. That way we could get a good nights rest and then leave around 7 in the morning to check into POP. I realize our room won't be ready but could go tour a park and even possibly make ropedrop until our room is ready. Any reviews on this hotel? Is it pretty nice?

We stayed at that hotel a couple years ago due to a last minute early morning flight change. We had a runway view and the kids enjoyed that along with the rooftop pool. Service was quick and friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Not a destination that we would pick to stay at unless circumstances required but we enjoyed the convenience.

If I recall correctly they offer a day rate as well if you just need a place to crash for a few hours in between travels.

We stayed there last year and will again this year.

The bellman came to our room for our bags and brought them all the way to the rental car desk, waited, and then loaded them into our car (this took at least 30 min). We said it was OK but he insisted! Talk about GREAT service! The rooms were also nice but really, it was just a place to sleep. Our view was of the interior courtyard.

All of that said, our flight gets in just before midnight. If I had an early evening arrival I would make my way over to WDW and book a room only night. The Hyatt certainly wasn't cheaper than POP! We tried to stalk it out on Priceline but in the end we paid about $170 tax incl. That way you wake up and go on your first day. If anything you may need to go to the front desk for new KTTW cards. Honestly, I just don't see the convenience staying at the Hyatt UNLESS you're arriving really late.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times for work, and have always had a good experience. I just wanted to point out that there is a new Comfort Suites airport location. I just booked it due to a need to take an earlier flight. It was $79 and sleeps up to 5. It includes a hot breakfast and the airport shuttle.

These are 2 pictures of the room we stayed in at the Hyatt day before your Disney Cruise. It was very, very nice stay. The service was great, and the bed was very comfortable! Its a great hotel to stay in but not the cheapest around. There are several airport hotels you can stay at for much cheaper and a lot of them have airport shuttles, you can come back to the airport and hop on the DME. If you can get a good deal with Hyatt though, I would jump on it. I lucked out and got it for $89 the night. Great stay.
