Day 4 – Friday, 3rd August 2007 – Epcot, Florida Mall and Islands of Adventure, City Walk
I woke up early because I heard someone walking around and flushing the toilet. Then I started sneezing, I did have wine last night. I wonder if I am allergic to alcohol.
After about an hour I started looking at the photos I had taken, consequently waking the hubbie up, who got up and went into the bathroom. I was desperate for the toilet then, not a nice feeling. Anyway today was Epcot day and I was very much hoping to see the sun today. I was ready at 7.40 am just waiting for the eldest and the hubbie.
As we left the hotel I had a quick look at the hotel’s buffet breakfast in the Orchid Lounge. It looked good so I made a mental note to try it. The lounge area is lovely, cane furniture, comfy sofas and lots of orchids, bunches of them, not like the single strands we see in our shops.
We get to Epcot just before the rope drop and head straight to Soarin’ with the rest of the crowds.
The hubbie got a fast pass, then we rode the ride. It was good, loved the orange smell and the golf ball soaring.
Afterwards we grabbed some fruit and headed over to Mission Space.
Me and eldest went on the gentler ride last year so knew we were okay on it but it was the hubbie’s and youngest’s first go. The youngest loved it and the hubbie enjoyed it. He can get motion sick so I was hoping the gentler ride would be okay for him.
We fast passed Test Track and then rode in the single rider line, so were on very quickly.
We then went back to Soarin’, this time we were in the first row which is the best. When we finished we stopped off at Seasons for a rest. The kids had wraps and cakes, me and the hubbie giant muffins. Afterwards my tummy didn’t feel too good.
Next was Living With The Land which I enjoyed before we headed around The World for a walk in the red hot heat. Not that I was complaining, at last typical Orlando weather. Afterwards we went back to Test Track before leaving the park for the Florida Mall.
We were in the Mall for ages. The eldest was after Hollister stuff before he came and he made sure he didn’t leave much left in the shop after he had found it. He also hit the Billabong shop as did the youngest. It was very hot outside 102 on the car thermometer.
We went back to the hotel and had a good time by the pool, a swim, some food. I had chicken wraps and a cocktail. Then I threw ice cubes at the kids, I blame the cocktail!

Next was Islands. It was quite busy.
They did Dr Doom,
then we all did Spiderman.
We had to line up for 20 minutes which I think is the longest line with FOTL passes we experienced but the normal line was 50 minutes, so it wasn’t too bad. We followed this with a ride on River Adventure, in the front row and got a bit wet.
Me and the eldest did Duelling Dragons in the dark which was class.
I was hungry when we left the park so the kids went back to the hotel themselves and we had a quick scout round for food in City Walk. I ended up buying one of those pretzel things but it was way too salty and then bought some crisps and drinks from the hotel shop before going back to the room.
I was shattered and getting in to bed was bliss.
