The Holy Grail of Camera Bags?

Hi DISers! I'm looking for a camera bag to take on my next trip and I'm really not finding what I'm looking for (and to be honest, it probably doesn't exist, but I'm gonna try here).

I'm looking for something to hold my Nikon D3100 and kit lens, and maybe an additional lens (I'm thinking about renting one) that will be comfortable to wear around the park all day, is padded and will protect my equipment, is at least semi-water proof for those summer rain showers and the occasional water ride (I can also bring a bag to put it in if I have to) and is fairly stylish (why are so many camera bags so unattractive?). Oh yeah, and it won't cost me an arm & a leg?

This probably doesn't exist but thanks for your help in advance! :cool1:

Stylish and low cost do not go together at all in the world of camera bags. If you want something that looks like a woman's bag then check our makers like Epiphanie, Jill E, Jo totes... there's more but those come to mind off the top of my head.

Really, most of us go through more than a few bags to find one that fits. And even then some of us have multiple bags for different occasions. Are you looking for a shoulder bag, messenger style, sling, backpack???

I've kind of found that out through all my searching lol.

I like the shoulder bag or messengers but most of the messengers I've seen have been bigger than I need. I wouldn't mind a sling if I could find one that's not ugly...

I have the same camera. Kinda wishing it breaks before my two year warranty is up so I can upgrade to the 3200, but that's another topic.......
I don't have the bag yet but it's on my wish list -- search "porteengear". I think they are pretty stylish and looks to fit what you want. I want it for my camera, kit lens, and 55-200 lens. Not sure what your budget is, as it is a bit higher priced (why I haven't got it yet!).
