Me – Kathryn - 4th trip:santa:
DD1 – Anna – 8 - 4th trip (will have her 9th birthday while we are there):santa:
DD2 – Lucy –7 - 4th trip:santa:
DS – Adam – 5 - 2nd trip:santa:

Late addition – DH – 1st trip - never been interested in coming and is now only coming because he has to.

We are flying out from Belfast on Thursday 18th November for 3 nights and being picked up by Ezyshuttle but we probably won't be there in time to go into the park as it shuts at 7pm.

This trip was originally planned with me going on my own with the three kids but DD1 has been having seizures – 1 in the summer and 3 in the last two weeks leading to an epilepsy diagnosis and being put on medication for it. This left me in a dilemma – do I still go (consultant said it was ok for DD1 to go) or cancel and lose my money or go for the alternative option and take DH so I went with the take DH option!

Myself and the girls are booked into Hotel New York and DH and DS are now booked into Sequoia Lodge. (was wayyyyyy to expensive to book him into HNY with us and the girls really want to stay in HNY).

This will be the girls and my second Xmas trip as we went 2 years ago along with my mum.

We have no EMH on Friday and the park actually opens at 9am on both Saturday and Sunday when we are there so will only have an hour EMH. Will probably stay in the main park Friday do Studios on Saturday and mooch about on Sunday.

I had originally planned to dine in the Parkside Diner on Thursday when we arrive, Inventions on Friday night, Café Mickey Saturday night and Steakhouse Brunch on Sunday but am now thinking that I might do McDonalds Thursday night, Parkside Diner Friday night, Inventions or Café Mickey Saturday night and then the boys could do Lucky Nugget Sunday lunchtime and the girls could do Auberge. I plan to make reservations when I see the park programme as I don't want to miss tree lighting etc.

We are looking forward to seeing Fantillusion again plus all the extra xmas bits and pieces. After having a horrible couple of weeks am now really looking forward to going and to using my nice shareholders card when I am there and to getting into Salon Mickey!

Sounds like a nice trip to look forward to. I agree having the shareholder card and getting into Salon Mickey is great, especially in the colder months!

 Sorry to hear that your dd has been diagnosed with epilepsy. I suppose it's too early for them to have told you what to expect long term. My brother grew out of his epilepsy when he was about 15. If you haven't already, you should join Epilepsy Action. Besides have loads of info and advice they also offer a travel insurance policy which covers you in the event that you need to cancel because of the pre-existing epilepsy. Most policies won't offer this or will charge more for it. DH has epilepsy too, controlled by medication.

Anyway, that aside, happy holidays!!! What a great idea putting the boys in one hotel and the girls in another!! :thumbsup2 We've got a weekend trip coming up too and I have similar restaurant thoughts as yourself but want to see the final programme before I book!

Can't wait to read all about it when you get back! :goodvibes

Thanks Mum to Belle will take a look at the Epilepsy Action site - we are hoping that it will be something that she will grow out of but for now we are just taking each day at a time. Thankfully when we renewed our Annual Travel insurance policy in September I had declared the seizure she had over the summer and it allowed me to pay extra to cover her for this.

Only two weeks and a couple of days to go!:)

This time tomorrow we should be tucked up in our beds at HNY! Kids are excited but aren't amused at having to go to school tomorrow! I am supposed to be ironing but thought that i would sneak on here for a while. I still haven't booked any restaurants but have added birthday cake to our reservation.:santa:

Only 1 sleep left!

1 more sleep!!!!! :santa:  :santa:  :santa:

Don't bother with the ironing, it'll only need doing again when you get there! ;)

I don't blame your kids for not wanting to go to school tomorrow!! I'd be too excited if I were them!!! :cool1: :rotfl2:

Have a fantastic trip!:goodvibes
