Just how safe is it to cross the street, walking from DTD to the Hessmart? I remember seeing the Hess while we waited for a bus back to Pop last year, but I don't recall how the traffic situation was in that area.

I read that a case of water is reasonably priced, and maybe DH could stock up on Mountain Dew Code Red if they have it.

Since Mountain Dew is a Pepsi product they won't be selling it at the Hess in WDW, because of their contract with Coca Cola. So you would have to go off property to purchase it.

I didn't realize that would apply to the Hess. Thanks. I'm sure he can get by on Coke Classic.

It is a pretty busy intersection but I have seen people cross at it. That being said, it is a LONG walk back to the bus stops, especially carrying a case of water.

Someone suggested carrying along a suitcase (I guess like a carryon with wheels) to lug the water back on the bus.

I'm just toying with the idea of this, don't know if I'd really bother doing it.

One of the DTD employee parking lots is back behind Hess so the traffic light does include a WALK light for pedestrians which gives a good length of time to cross Buena Vista Drive with no traffic for any directions. It's really not very far to many of the bus stops.

I don't believe you are allowed to take luggage on the Disney buses. I would move thread over to transpotation forum, one of the moderators drives Disney buses.

We've made beer and water runs at that Hess Mart many times. It is not far at all and the traffic light does allow plenty of time to cross the street.

The walk time at that light is 34 seconds. It is enough time to cross the street. I park in the CM lot all the time.

You can take that stuff on the bus as long as the bus is not full. If it is and your supplies will take up guest space you may be asked to wait for an emptier bus.

Also, It you purchase alcohol, don't open the case or remove a can from the 6pack rings. If you do, It is considered a broken seal and you will NOT be allowed to board with it.
