Mineral processing - The rock first goes to a primary crusher, where it is crushed into sizes about 5-10cm. It then goes through a secondary crusher, where it is crushed into sizes of about 1-5cm. It is sent to a miller, where it is grinded into pieces under 0.01mm. Then it is seperated into different components. The ore concentrate is sent to the smelter, and the waste is sent to the slimes dam. If the pieces are too big, then it is milled again.

Gravity separation - Best for oxides, like cassiterite. The ore concentrate is mixed with water and placed on a shaking table. The shaking seperates the ore from the rock.

Froth flotation - Best for sulphates, because they are hydrophobic. Bubbles are made, and they stick to these bubbles to escape the water. A net is used to catch them.

It is just awkward when Mr. Schue sings with the Glee club.

I can't wait until the Finale tonight! (:

Landslide - Downslope gravitational movement of soil or rock which occur primarily as a result of discrete shear failure. Skempton & Hutchinson, 1969.

When downslope stresses are bigger than the strength of the rock, then a landslide occurs.

I was going to get the train that just left, but I can still get in on time with the next train.

I can't study anymore. I tried to look at the water powerpoint, but I couldn't take anything in... Time to leave anyway.
