The hardest to get ADRs

Which are the hardest adrs to get that we need to make our mind before the 180 days? Apart from Ohana and BOG

I think those two are the hardest ones right now. I don't think CRT is as hard to get as it used to be. I'm looking right now for our trip dates in July and still see multiple times for every day but not any BOG and only 1 time per day for Ohana.

BOG and Ohana are the toughest right now. I've also noticed that California Grill goes quickly esp for seating around fireworks time. In Epcot, Tutto Italia, Teppan Edo and San Angel are also popular but nowhere near the demand of BOG and Ohana.

CRT and BOG absolutely book at 180 days out. In addition to these two, if you even think you will want a pre park opening meal, I suggest you book them at 180 days as well. You can always let them go, but the early entry AD's are pretty hard to get after that, IMO.

I generally have a plan in mind and will book all the ADR's I think I will want for my family. I let some go and add more as I tweak the plan. I think it is better to book and release and change than to need to search later in.

V&A is also an ADR that needs to be booked early if for no other reason than it is so small and can only flip tables at most, once per night.

IMO, hard ADR's to get:

MK
  1. CRT... This includes breakfast before rope drop and dinner.
  2. Crystal Palace... Pre-opening breakfast
  3. BOG... Difficult whether breakfast, lunch or dinner.
  4. Wishes Dessert Party... In spite of it's pathetic double priced increase still extremely popular.
Epcot
  1. Le Cellier... Though nowhere near as hard as it use to be.
  2. Via Napoli... Dinner can be tough
  3. Akershus... All the meals with the princesses can be a tough ADR
  4. Rose & Crown... ADR's around Illuminations are very difficult.
  5. Illuminations Dessert Party... Very difficult to get.
Hollywood Studios
  1. Fantasmic Dinner Package... Mama Melrose and H&V can be tough to get in this package. Brown Derby much easier.
  2. Minnie's Holiday & Dine at H & V...
Animal Kingdom
  1. Tusker House... Especially for early park entry
Resorts
  1. Ohana... This is a tough one, although I have not found breakfast that tough to get.
  2. California Grill... Anytime after 7:30 pm can be a tough ADR to get if not done 180 days out.
  3. Chef Mickey... I don't know why? The food is gosh awful. I think the hardest ADR to get is during dinner.
  4. 1900 PF... Can be difficult to get for breakfast and dinner. IMO, the best character interaction of any character meal in WDW.
  5. Narcoossees... During Wishes and Electric Water Pageant can be a tough ADR.
I'm sure I may have missed a few but these are the ones I have found difficult in my past experiences.

In my experience:
Character dining in general needs to be booked earlier rather than later.
Chef Mickey's in particular seems to go fast.

Some places book earlier for certain times of day:
Cali Grill near fireworks
Rose & Crown near fireworks
Pre-park opening breakfasts. CRT still seems to move pretty quickly, but I often see dinner ADRs available.
All MK TS locations on special party days (Xmas, Halloween, etc)

and from what I hear from others:
The Chef's Table at V & A's goes in a flash

Akershus pre-park (and to some extent GG) is likely to be a hot commodity. No one knows right now what will happen with Frozen/WS, so I expect people to hoard those ADRs just in case.

One tip for 'Ohana if you have an odd-numbered party, search for the even number up - like if you have 3 search for 4. It will be the same size table, but for whatever reason their system doesn't always like odd-numbered parties. I always have to search for 2 when I travel solo because there is NEVER availability for 1 - I spoke with multiple CMs who said it is an 'Ohana metric specific thing for some reason but that I can book for 2 and will not be penalized as long as I show up.

In fact, as a frequent solo guest I have to book for 2 for nearly all WDW TS ADRs. It is simply how the Disney reservation system is set up across the board for all ADRs park-wide. If I want to eat at that WDW restaurant, I need to book for 2. I have never been charged a no-show for the phantom 2nd guest.

The other places I've booked (Cape May, Chefs de France, Be Our Guest, Crystal Palace, and Garden Grill) have all let me book for 1 - though sometimes it shows different times between 1 and 2. Initially I had thought the 'Ohana thing was the "family style" dining, but then Garden Grill and Liberty Tree Tavern have both shown availability for 1 and they are "family style". Actually yesterday when I was making my ADRs I booked my solo meals for 2 just because it was easier/quicker to use the default. I did go back in and change them to 1 other than 'Ohana which would show no availability.

But it's definitely good to know they get it and don't charge for the phantom person! :)

BOG is probably #1 for lunch and dinner. Maybe a pre-park Breakfast too.

CG during fireworks is a tough one, anytime we grab one we are excited.
Rose & Crown during fireworks can as well, but we'd rather not risk the table.

Specialty things go fast, like the Galatic Breakfast they had, Wishes Dessert Party ...

We really have not had problems at any others that we tried last few years. Last month we even booked Ohana the day of for 5.

Dining With an Imagineer, BOG dinner, and Fantasmic package at HS have been the hardest for us to get. Also could only get an 8:20 pre-park opening CP breakfast at 180+5. Those do go very quickly.

Following! My 180 just opened up for our honeymoon trip in September and we want to make sure we've got ADRs for everything on our list.

I have recently found this to be true for CRT, CP, and Yak & Yeti. Y&Y is going to be combined with friends for us... could not find a single dinner service for 7 on the day we wanted (which was surprising to me as I haven't found it to be that difficult to get seating there and I was on at 6am at 180 out... maybe because of Avatar??). Today on a whim I searched for 8 and found the exact time we wanted... I went back and changed the reservation after booking and suddenly it would find one for 7. Either a glitch or I couldn't have timed that coincidence better.

I don't think there's any that are too hard if you aren't super picky about your times and you book at 180. We've always been able to get everything we want - and we eat at BOG, CRT and Ohana on every trip.

Just did our ADRs last week. Only issues we had were Ohana and BOG. Both for dinner and both had to be done at 5th and 6th day of trip. BOG only had 4:50pm left and I had to call for that one.

Other ADRs we did with no issues:
Boma
Boathouse
Crystal Palace
50s prime
HW&V Fantasmic package
1900 Park
Tusker House/ROL package

With MK Main Street opening early, does it even make sense anymore to have a pre park opening breakfast? We used to do this with Crystal Palace (although last year, they changed the hours and opened at 8 a.m.).
