I chose singer/actor Justin Bieber to betray Paul Baumer in this modern interpretation of All Quiet on the Western Front. I thought Justin Bieber would be the best fit to play Paul because they are around the same age and Justin Bieber seems like the perfect fit. I could easily see him as Paul, and I think he would do a wonderful job. One Direction, a very popular boy band of five from Britain, will be cast as Paul’s (Justin Bieber) close friends during the war. Harry Styles, One Direction member, will play Albert Kropp, a young man who becomes one of Paul’s closest friends. Liam Payne is cast as Muller, Paul’s classmate from back home and a good friend. Franz Kemmerich, Paul’s classmate and fellow troop member, will be depicted by Zayn Malik, third member of One Direction.
