The Gross Things you see.....

A mother encouraging her child to relieve himself on one of the planters between ToT and RR at (then) MGM because she was to lazy to take him to the bathroom. They were not American, not that Americans are any better sometimes.

I see gross things every time I go to the parks, which is multiple times per week ~ I could make a good TV show out of it!

It's what lots of people wear! You know what I'm talking about  Shorts that are just WAY to short AND too little...tiny little short skirts ~ don't bend over not even the slightest or you will moon everyone...boy I see a lot of it at all parks.

:rotfl:
I forgot about that one.
You do see a lot of gross outfits and you see them on people that should not be wearing them.

One of the threads here from years ago included a picture of a family of about 10 adults and children sitting with their bare feet in the Cinderella fountain. How disrespectful and GROSS. Who would ever in a million years think to sit on the fountain, take their shoes off and put their feet in it??? :crazy2::scared::sad2:

:rotfl2: I remember that one.

Its not just at disney but anywhere people who blow their nose at the table gross me out.

I will probably upset someone with this one. There was a lady sitting on a bench, and I noticed her whole ****, nipple and all, was completely hanging out of her button down shirt, and she was having a conversation with another woman, and they were both smoking. I giggled to myself thinking, "how embarassing". I then saw a little boy, who had to be about 3, come up, nurse off her for a minute, and then go back to doing whatever he was doing, and come back a minute later, and do it again. Him and some other little kids were playing right in front of the ladies. I do not think breast feeding is gross, I just found it odd to leave your **** out so your kid can come get a drink whenever he wants. Two of us were waiting to meet up with the rest of our group, so it wasn't like I was watching, it was just hard not to notice.

Here is another. I was in Cancun, and went to some nature amusement park. I noticed that the men from other countries wear much smaller, and tighter swim suits then the men in the states. I was walking, and happed to look down. There was a man, he was about 65 or 70, sitting on some steps, and he was wearing very short swim trunks, and his family jewels were hanging out for everyone to see! Gross, you would think the people he was with would say something.

For those of you who've spoken up, what do you say to the offenders? have you ever gotten into an argument about it? Will the CMs actually do anything if you point it out to them?

For me, I started out asking her to please take the baby to the restroom, I even told her where it was. She (non American) then got very rude and informed me that she was too tired to go that far. TOO TIRED! I was actually fairly polite until that moment. That was when I lost it. I started yelling about sanitary conditions, food being eating, lack of respect or consideration of anyone else but herself. She called me some name, several not in English. And then I finished it off with calling her a classless moron who needed to go home. There were 3 CMs right there as well as all of Sunshine Seasons watching us. UGH Not my proudest moment. But seriously, the table where they were located and where my family was located was inches away from each other. The stench was so awful. I think a higher up CM was coming over but the DH grabbed my arm, our stuff and walked me away. LOL

My shameful aspect comes from my becoming unglued at WDW with my kids 11 and 6 at the time seeing my behavior. I felt so guilty I had to sit down with them and apologize to them for my outburst.

Just last Friday evening I saw a little girl stick her finger up inside the dole whip machine at the Poly, lick it, and then go for another "taste." Her dad didn't even try to stop her! My daugher was going to purchase one, but after that we were too grossed out!

I'm one of these people who get angry when I see something like this going on. I would definitely have to say something!!! For some reason I've never encountered it while at WDW.

For those of you who've spoken up, what do you say to the offenders? have you ever gotten into an argument about it? Will the CMs actually do anything if you point it out to them?

Me too, luckily I haven't seen anyone pee in the bushes, that'll set me off. It's SOOOOOO DISGUSTING! I feel like in WDW, if you are standing in a given spot, not on a ride or restaurant, you can usually see a restroom from where you are standing. Or signs for one, are people that lazy?... yes.

Probably get flamed for this one, but the grossest thing I've ever seen at Disney was a young couple in the smoking section with their 1-2 month baby in the stroller. They were sitting in front of the stroller holding their cigs right in front of the baby's face!! I understand they needed a cigarette, I used to smoke...but come on! The baby didn't need to breathe that in...cover him/her up or something. Stand to the side, hold the cig AWAY & exhale in the opposite direction. Made me sick to my stomach...worse than actual puke would have! I commented angrily as I passed and they had a few choice words for me, but I felt better for trying to protect that poor innocent child. I'll never understand.:confused3

No flames from me, those people should be charged with child endangerment. Or anyone who smokes around someone under 18.

I've seen a few. A lot involve throw up. Once getting onto Star Tours my DS, DD and I were about to sit down when one of the seats was filled with throw up. After I got a CM's attention they quickly announced a "nuclear spill" and everyone got off quickly.

Last year while waiting in line for TSM a little boy about 5 was picking his nose when he ever so delicately pulled his finger out of his nose and decided to place his "little treasure" onto the handrail in line. Gross. I don't think my poor DD will ever touch another hand rail again!
:rotfl2:

We were in AK one morning last August and there was a woman in front of us wearing white shorts. There was a noticable brown "stain" on the back of her shorts, but the worst part was that whatever caused the stain was literally leaking out of her shorts and down her legs. It was the grossest thing I've ever seen. She just kept on walking with her friend like nothing was abnormal. I couldn't understand how she could not notice what was happening.

oh my gosh i would lose it right there, have to leave yuck yuck yuck

OK this is NOT a Disney one- but it's TOO HORRIBLE not to share!

I was at Burger King in the section eating where the play area is. Was feeding my kids and was going to let them play.
Little boy at the next table starts throwing up. He was there w/ siblings and some friends and there were 2 moms w/ them. When he finished, he got up and the moms were cleaning it up, then he started again. All over the floor again- the moms would just stare like they had NO clue what to do.
(Um, get a bag or napkin or anything!)
In about a 10-15 minutes span (2 minutes in, we left to sit in the area outside the playroom, but were by the glass and coudl see straight in)
He threw up SIX times, each time, all over the floor and the moms would clean it up. Never ONCE attempting to take him to the bathroom or even began packing up their stuff like "Oh- maybe we should leave".
Then I saw the mom, take a napkin- wipe his mouth, and SEND HIM BACK INTO THE PLAY AREA!!!!! After 15 minutes of continuous vomiting!!!!

I talked to the managers and they talked to them adn asked them to leave and the moms said NO- they said "we paid for our food and we're staying, you can't make us leave"
AND the manager DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!
I was SO angry at everyone involved and at hte same time felt SO bad for the poor kids whose moms cared more about hanging out than caring for him. It was SICK and needless to say my kids will NEVER play in playplace at a fast food chain!

Oh- and just to share a quick disney one-
Saw a girl throw up after soarin. Felt so bad :-(

OH YEAH and my DS lost his lunch at Beaches and Cream. I think that I concealed it and cleaned the floor and such up quick enough that no one around us noticed. I felt horrible for anyone that might've seen though!!!

In the words of my 19 month old: COCKA!

These stories are super gross! I have to say that my kids have done gross things at home but not in public, except for my 7 year old. He picked his nose and ate it in Walmart! I was so embarrassed because I know the guy behind us in line saw him do it! :crazy2:

All of these are gross. I never saw anything like this down there when I was there...I don't know if its because I am just too involved with what I am doing but I really don't know why I mean it happens all the time. But I do hope I never see anything that involves puking cause I am sure I will do it myself.

Also I can't believe no one has mentioned this before...I always see people leave the stalls of bathrooms without flushing even if they are automatic it doesn't mean that they flush all the time there is a little button you can push in case it doesn't flush. Now I know that the bathrooms are super clean but I manage to go into theh stall that still has stuff in it or even on the seat.

And what about people not washing their hands after they go to the bathroom. To me that is the grossest thing I could think of cause then they touch the door handle and the seatbelts on the rides and everything. I always use my paper towel to open the door and antibacterial gel to clean my hands after rides.

How about kids (and grown-ups) snotting on the railings...?

Okay I have a couple Disney ones. The last time my fiance and I were at Disney (2007) we ate a later dinner at Rainforest Cafe, the one in Downtown Disney. We just sat at the bar and ordered the grilled pizza, I think it was served on a flatbread or something, personal sized. Well, when I started eating mine, it had a loooong hair across it, baked into the cheese. UGH. We told the bartender who apologized and offered to have the kitchen make me another one, but I declined because after that I lost my appetite. I realize hairs in food will happen, but it's still gross when you take a bite and discover a hair in your mouth and baked into your food.

My other one also happened at this same Rainforest Cafe, but a few years earlier, when I was there with my parents and my son, again for a late night dinner (I think they stay open until midnight or something) We were a few of the last customers of the evening, so the staff began to clean up the dining area. We watched the lady clearing the tables around us and setting them for the next day. She had a pile of forks and knives and was putting them on the chairs - not on a plate or napkin or in a bin, just lying on the filthy chairs that everyone's butts are sitting all over after riding a bunch of rides that millions of other butts sat in. She'd put the pile on one chair, set the table, then move the pile to the next chair. How gross, especially for the last table who were lucky enough to get the utensils after they were lying on several different chairs. :crazy2:

All of these stories are pretty disgusting and I must say, they certainly show the ignorance in some people! This didn't happen at Disney, but at a different hotel. We were just coming up to our room from a swim in the pool, when we discovered that someone had thrown up right near the front of our door. :crazy2:

We had to step around it just to enter our room. We knew, however, that housekeeping would be coming soon when we were going out to dinner, so we left with hopes of a clear hallway when we came back. Well, we had dinner, then returned to our room, and it STILL had not been cleaned up, even though our room was!

Needless to say, we have never stayed at that hotel since. :sad2:
