There is still standing on Pop buses. if you are going or coming back at busy times, they load the buses till it's full, whihc means the aisle has standers. My DD thought it was fun to stand. Silly her! You can wait for the next bus though if you would like.

Ohh, I could understand that...but I guess, I would rather just stand knowing that the first stop is us and we do not have to stop at two other resorts first...THANKS

Quick question....I know that on the first post in this thread it stated that Pop's fax number was 407-938-4039, but everywhere else I look it is 407-938-4040. Which one is the correct fax number?

We will be faxing in our requests in a little over two weeks and I want to make sure we have the right number! We are so excited, as this is our first stay at Pop!:yay:

As I previously posted last week I called asked for DA room; last might when I was trying to add code to our package the CRO said we are in building 7. I see that this is the 80's section which looks way to far from main building! I was thinking 70's section at least; should I call and ask for a different room?:confused3

On all our trips we just tell them that we want to be put in the 70's section when we check in and we have always had that request honored. You can try and do that when you arrive.

Hi ya guys and gals!

We were at WDW last week and while there we headed over to Pop Century to check it out. We were thinking about staying there next year but had some concerns. We've never stayed at a value resort and were really concerned about the bus stops and the room size. We also like to have a nice food court.

My husband and I had hoped we could get a peek into one of the windows of the unoccupied rooms so that we could see the room layout. We ran into several mousekeepers and stopped one to ask if we could just look into the door of a cleaned room. We told her we didn't want to go into the room, just stick our head in. I didn't want to go into someone's room. She called her supervisor who was just around the corner and she let us walk around in a room that had been cleaned and the family had just checked out.

The rooms are a good bit smaller than those at the Caribbean Beach Resort (we have stayed there 3 times) but the main room doesn't feel like it. The main difference seemed to be in the sink/closet area.

By the way, for those with upcoming trips planned to Pop, they are replacing ALL of the mattresses. They were in the process while we were there.

After looking at the rooms, I was able to check off one thing on our list of concerns.

The grounds of the resort were nice. While the landscaping didn't seem to be as lush and full as the CBR, the icons and cute signs seemed to make up for it. I took the requisite photos of my son getting run over by the Big Wheel and my husband and I, of course, posed with Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head.

Once we had looked at the resort grounds, we headed into the food court. I loved it! The food court was set up much like the one at CBR. There was a nice selection of foods to choose from too. We decided to eat our lunch there and everything we ordered was good.

After eating in the food court, we checked off number two on our list of concerns.

Our next area to check out were the bus stops. At the CBR, there are bus stops at each village. While some others complain about this, we actually like the set up. I think the reason we were worried about the Pop bus stop situation was that there was just one stop for each of the theme parks and they were not covered.

I like the way the bus stops at set up like the lines for the attractions and for the return trip back to the resort. With a set up like that, there can't be much cutting in line. As far as having to stand on a bus, we had to do that at the CBR if the buses were full and we had no problems with that.

After watching a couple of buses pull in at Pop, number three on our list of concerns was checked off.

So.....we decided to book our 2009 stay at Pop Century!!!!! I am hoping to get in on one of the fridge swaps as soon as we decide if we are going in May or August.

I am so glad we took the time to tour the Pop Century resort, otherwise, we would have never known how fabulous the resort was.

Hi! I'm glad you decided to give Pop a try. We went from POR to POP and love POP! We would pick POP over POR anyday. I did not like the bus system at POR where it stopped 4 times throughout the resort & then shared with POFQ. I love that Pop's bus is its own. I think you will be very happy at POP!

Great review Mickeystoontown! The food court, buses, and the room size are all very good to know about before we get there - thanks for posting! :)

Thats great news! :woohoo:
(Although I've never personally had any issues with the beds, new = fresh/clean in my book! :teacher: )

Hope you love Pop as much as my family does! :goodvibes

So glad to hear they will be replacing the matresses! Im read a few recent reviews that they were getting alittle saggy in the middle.

It looked like they were starting at the back of the resort. They were replacing them in the Pac Man buildings when we were there. The mousekeeping supervisor said they were replacing the mattresses in all of the rooms.

We will be going to disney Oct. 13-20 and were hoping they would have Halloween events and decorations going on. Has anyone been there during this time? We will be staying in POP. Thanks

My 5 yr. old son has bad allergies (dust, mold) New mattresses will be a blessing.

10 days to go!
Melani

I sure hope there are new mattresses when we check in tomorrow. I'm still bringing my memory foam mattress topper just in case. :thumbsup2
