If the movies aren't "out" available to the public right now ,then it's not for sale at Disney either.

352 days until we are in the bowling pin again...I can't wait....hopefully we will get the same room again...'50's building, floor 1, room 1149....

Sorry this is a little off topic, but was wondering if they sell the movies "sleeping Beauty" and "Beauty and the Beast" on DVD at POP or anywhere else in the park. Any price guesses? Also if anyone knows where you can buy these for less than $40 let me know. I've checked e-bay but they are crazy expensive. Hoping to pay closer to $20? :confused3

I found Sleeping Beauty on DVD at amazon.com for around $20 on up. Beauty and the Beast was running about $40, but you might check back. Sometimes it changes.

YIPPEE!!! I found out we are able to leave 2 days earlier for WDW and we were able to change are ressie at POP!!!! Aug. 16-23. Now we will have more time to hang out there!!!
(Now I have to fix my countdown ticker. LOL)

We will be at POP the 15th to the 21st. I can't wait.

What sections can you see the fireworks from EPCOT. ds's want to stay at the bowling pin because they are both bowlers but I would like a view of EPCOT

Hi

I'm sort of interested but don't really understand how to do it. Its our 1st trip to wdw ever in Nov 08.

How do we get fridge/coffee machine back to reception and what if it breaks down?

Thanks
Angie

The complete info is on the thread but basically, you can either arrange a personal hand off with swapper before you if possible (some swappers have overlapping dates). If not possible, the swapper before you will leave in luggage services and they will notify you upon checkin that you have a package. When your room is ready, they can deliver to your room and you should tip or you can use luggage cart to get to your room. Pop has elevators in core section. Then reverse at the end of your time. Everyone in the swap takes the risk of break down but I have seen several of the swaps going to over a year without break down.

thanks

I think I'm driving DH crazy! The more I read here, the more excited I get for our first trip to POP! Only three weeks to go! Yay! :yay:

I'm so excited! I've finally decided on a hotel, and it is POP. After much deliberating and changing my mind, I think POP is our best choice. Hubby is coming home in Sept from Iraq for R&R and this is our 1st Disney Trip. We want to save as much money as we can but still have all the Disney perks. I called today and they quoted me $965 for hotel, park tickets and free DDP! I'm so excited! I had a question. I am not going to book a preferred room because of the extra money. What standard areas would you consider to be the best to ask for? Thanks!

We salute your hubby and await his safe return. I like the 50's lake side or the 70's lakeside or garden side. It's quiet and still easy to get to Food Court and My favorite room was first floor garden side in the 70's. Higher up offers less traffic but requires stairs or elevator. Have you seen the resort map? There's a link on Post #1. IMHO, I would avoid building #2 (Juke Box), #7 (Roger Rabbit), and #8 (computer) for the simple reason that they require the longest walk to the Food Court and busses. I have stayed in building #6 (Mickey Phone) on the 4th floor lakeside and Building #10 (Room #0114) (Hot Wheel) 1st floor garden side, my favorite! I've also stayed in Building #3 2nd and 3rd floor lakeside. Let us know what you decide or if you have other questions.

I just recently booked the bouceback offer, staying at Pop, November 30-December 7.

I haven't stayed at Pop since early 2004, just months after it opened. How is the resort holding up?

Looking forward to it!

The resort is holding up well. Last time I was there (January 08) they were repainting the yo-yo's at the end of the Building #5 (Jungle Book). Other than that it's been typical Disney with cleaning and maintaining things on a continuing basis. I have seen the Goofy Jets closed for repair. To me POP has always looked good. Enjoy your trip. I haven't been able to go during the Christmas season in years and would love to visit then.
