I know that is so exciting to say but I also am stressing because of the fifty million things I need to get done before we go

The kids told me today that they can't take the waiting anymore...no kidding! Can't wait!

I know my dd3 asks me every night are we leaving for disney tomorrow. I finally broke down and made her a countdown chain so she could finally grasp the concept of having to wait. She still wants to tear them all off everyday

What dates did Mousesavers say for Hippy Dippy? Its not going to change our plans any, but I'm curious...

The Mousesavers newsletter said: "Hippy Dippy Pool (Pop Century Resort) closed 2/14/11-3/11/11 for refurbishment. Guests may use the Bowling Pool and Computer Pool".

I'm quite disappointed. I'll be at POP in a bit more than 5 week from now and I've requested to stay in the 60s. I love how that area looks and now it will be all boarded up. I was looking forward to taking my nephews to swim in the Hippy Dippy pool, just steps from our room. Looks like we'll have to walk a bit to swim (unless we don't get our room request)

I have another question for the Pop veterans - with the Hippy Dippy pool being closed for refurb, does this also mean the kiddie pool will also be closed? Or do they treat that seperately when it comes to maintanence closures?

I think the kiddie pool will still be open. If it wasn't, they would mention it as well.

Just wanted to let anyone know that might be interested. We just got back from Pop and when they brought us our bedrails, housekeeping was taking a rollaway to another room. They really do exist. I have read conflicting things on the Dis and I can say that I saw them with my own eyes. HTHs someone.

I'm hoping that's the case, but I'd feel better if I heard it from someone who had been there during a past refurb, you know?

A roll away at POP is not typical and cannot be requested. It would a rare and special circumstance.

UGG.....hoping the weather changes. So far, for the 29/30/31, it will be in the 60s/low 70s and rain. Hoping for 85 and sunny.....

Hope your wish comes true, but when we've been there that time of year (several times from '82 to 2008) it is cold (30's/40's) in the morning and evening and might hit 70 mid day. So far for us, it's always been cold and raw. Also, lots of rain. Be sure to take warm clothes, but hope for the best possible weather!! Fingers crossed for you!

Tammi - if you have 1/2 as much snow in Jersey as we do here in Boston, 60's/70's will feel wonderful! I am so jealous that you will be there in 12 days! - I still have a little over 4 months before we go back....

Thanks! I haven't requested a room yet... I'm behind this time. So, that's what I wanted to think about. Honestly, we don't spend much time at the hotel anyway, but I try to consider everything! (like a typical DIS-er. )

I guess, I hope you don't get your room request? Whichever way, I'm sure you'll have a WONDERFUL time!

I'm so sick of snow....and yes, it will feel good! Think of it this way....in 4 months, I'm going to be jealous of you!

I refuse to take our winter coats! We're all taking microfleece pullovers and we'll have a few long sleeved t's-I'll just wear a few layers and tough it out!

I am so on the same boat as you..I just started to pack dd yesterday. I packed a mix of jeans, shorts, long sleeves, tees, sweatshirts, and one lightweight like fall type coat. I was actually suprisied that all of this only weighed like 30 lbs and I am a HUGE overpacker.

Hopefully our weather forecast changes..I would be happy with high 60s as long as it is partly sunny and not much rain.

I requested mine a few days before we got there. You can request them at check in or you can hit the housekeeping button on your phone when you get to your room.
