Yes, shame on you for not being more organized! Everyone-from now on add a tape measure to your "over packing, I'm a freak, Disney trip list". But, seriously if anyone get the measurements please share!;)

I'm not going for 4 months and I'm starting my third draft of my packing list.:lmao:

We go in a couple of months. Are they done or almost done, or do they have several buildings left?

Last i had read they had planned to stop renovations for the peak summer months and would continue after the peak time.

If anyone else can confirm this that would be great:surfweb::surfweb:

We go in less than 2 months.I don't write down a packing list. But when I see something that I know that either of us won't wear it until vacation, I put it aside. About 2 weeks before we leave we go into serious packing so that things that need to be washed or bought can be done. That gives us time to switch around clothes and make sure we are not 'over packing' that we have done in the past. Every year we take less and less.

I do well with Not overpacking clothes it is all the other stuff that I pack in case !!! The pepto incas the other stuff incas the opposite happens:lmao:the moleskin the variety of bandaid , etc etc !Most of which I don't need BUT ya never know !!!!:lmao:

We are considering flying instead of driving and I have no idea how to pack!:worship: My husband usually says I pack the house!!! Help!!!!!:scared1:
We will be at POP for 5 nights, have tickets to MVMCP for the first night and 4 more days of PH tickets for the following days. Our dates are December 16-21. What do we really need to take?:confused3

signing onto the thread! I'm hoping to stay at POP in late Oct for Free Dining! We are finalizing plans this week and booking soon! I was interested to hear how many buildings they had finsihed since I was at POP in March--building 6 70s section (a refurbed room)!!

:rotfl2: My packing list for Disney was created in 1990 and has been kept edited with updates for 20 years!! Its outlasted many versions of Word. I've had baby stuff on the list, removed, re-added... removed again!!! If I keep the same list going, once something is added, as long as its relevant it stays on the list and I have a good chance of not forgetting it. I print my list the day before we leave, before that, its still getting edited on the laptop. I place my list on a clipboard, and check off items as their either packing into the suitcase or car. I review the list at least 10 times before we leave, and confirm all is packed. I have separate versions of the list for spring/summer an winter/fall trips. I have items designated as car only or airline only. I leave those on the list, and cross them out if they don't apply for a particular trip. Some items also only apply to DVC and some only to standard rooms.

Now.. here's my new concern and it doesn't have to do with lists. I read in post 1 of this thread, something about A/C units being set with motion sensors and you come back to your room and you find out the A/C was off while you were gone and its HOT!! In that case, it would go off while you slept!!:scared1: How horrible to wake up sweltering! Anybody know anything about this?

I think most of the motion sensor thermostats are gone. If you happen to get one just do the sensor bypass procedure that is also in post #1. Another thing you can do is tie a baloon to a chair. That should be enough to fool the motion sensor.

You won't wake up sweltering, or even moderately warm. The AC stays at the temp you set it. Stayed at POP many, many times.

so cross that off any worry list

They were working on the 60's section the last week of June and the start of July. I don't think there has been a real update since then. Hopefully someone that is down there now or is going soon can update us. I haven't heard them stopping they seem to be just moving slow.

We did have the ac issue this year at pop. It quickly got cool once we got back to the room or moved around. We also tried the bypass trick to no avail. It wasn't awful just mildly annoying because we sleep with it very cool at home.

My cousin went in May and when I asked about renovation status she said she didn't see any work going on and they didn't have a renovated room. I'm not sure which building she stay in, sorry. I can't promise this is 100% correct that they're not doing anything right now because my cousin is the type to go to her room, the pool and the parks and not really take in much about the resort, so she could've missed something. I just hope I get a new room when we go next month!!!

So the secret is to be a VERY restless sleeper:lmao::lmao:Seriously I have never had trouble with the a/c or anything else weeelllll :scared1:UNLESS you count getting stuck in an elevator last year !! Apparently I hold the dubious distinction of being the only one stuck in at least 4 years !!:lmao::lmao:

:scared1::scared1: Which building were you in? Do you remember your room number? :hippie:

I have booked a preferred roomat POP. We don't want a room by the pool because it is to noisy. What is the best buiding to request to be near the buses and the food court?

Prolly the 70's as there is no pool there and it is close to buses and foodcourt !! You could also request lakeside which would be 50's or 60's !!
