Our flight isn't getting in until 9:30 so I am not sure what time that will get us to POP. Late I know..lol..How likely is it that our requests for rooms can be fulfilled with that late of a check in? Do we need to call and tell them that we are coming in that late?

Also, my Mom needs distilled water for her cpap machine. Do you know if there is anywhere we can get distilled water at WDW? She needs it for the machine at night. TIA!

There's no need to call, but I would suggest faxing a request. I checked in once at 12:02am and I got the room I requested. Also, maybe consider doing online Check-In and putting a room request there. (although, having not ever used it, not sure how it works)

I'm not sure about the water. I know Walmart sell it. Maybe you could look into the Garden Grocer or one of the pharmacies in the area that delivers to Disney.

Question about early check-in...help please!

Hi, we are planning our first trip, and I'm having some trouble figuring out our arrival day. I asked on the theme parks board, but thought maybe the POP experts would be more help. We have two rooms, and will be doing on-line checkin (I think, if I can get it to work!) We've requested connecting rooms, and I was hoping to send a fax a few days prior with a more specific location request (mostly quiet on 4th floor). We will be arriving at MCO at 9:17 am, so I'm thinking we'll arrive at POP around 10:30. I know that most likely our rooms won't be ready.

What I am wondering is, when we check-in, will they be able to give us any idea when it will be ready? Like, will they have any idea if it will be ready by 1 pm? If they'll be ready by then, I think we'll stay, swim (will we be able to get towels if we don't have a room yet?), eat lunch and then nap in our rooms before going to a park. But if they won't be able to give us any idea, we might just head to a park and come back early evening. Our only chance to see Spectro is that night, so we much prefer being able to nap first, but don't want to wait around until 1 only to find out it will still be a couple hours. Hope that makes sense!

Also, I am assuming if we are able to get a room early, we'll have to settle for whatever was cleaned first, right? So there might be non-connecting 2nd floor rooms on the poolside, and we'd have to take those? That was probably a dumb question!

Any insight is appreciated. Also, if anyone has any experience with checking in way early like this, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

I've checked early a few times, and a couple of times my room has been ready and a few times not. A few times we've called and checked on our room around 1 and had it been ready. It's all a luck of the draw. If you want something that will be ready when you get there. I'd suggest not doing online check in. and Checking in when you get there.

My experience with arriving early is they will give you a number to call with an approximate time (usually 3PM) to call back. I have called back early several times and have been told that they room is ready.

Oh no, I will be arriving early, into MCO at 11:15 a.m. I did online check in already, does that mean I definitely won't have a room available? Should I get on the long check in line and wait and hope??

Did you ever get your fridge? When we travel with MIL in Dec, she'll need a fridge for her RA medication. I called to ask about it and they simply said to just call a few days before check in. I hope it doesn't become an issue.

Thanks for the reply. I'd read other places that on-line check in seemed to help when checking in early (ie, that those people had better luck with rooms ready earlier.) Has anyone found this to be true or untrue? Thanks!

I've been to Disney twice and both times we had requested a fridge but not found it to be in our room when we got there. I think we called Mousekeeping and they got one to us as soon as possible. (We didn't need to have it we just wanted to have one.)

I just went last weekend, stayed at CSR and did online check in. I checked in at the resort around 10:30am and my room was ready.

ETA: I think it has less to do with whether or not you check in online and more to do with if they have rooms available.

Thanks. The kids and I will be checking in earlier in the day and she'll arrive in the late afternoon. We'll just confirm when we check in so hopefully by the time she arrives, we'll have it.

Does anyone know if we can get distilled water at the resort or anywhere in Disney for my Moms cpap machine? Garden grocer will be our last resort if needed! TIA!

I saw someone ask this in another thread, and Turner Pharmacy said they will deliver it to the hotel for a $5 delivery charge. HTH!

It did work for us we arrived at POP at 11:00am and did online check in and our room ready for us. I think because you let them know what time you are expected to be there they do those rooms first.

Once before I checked in around 11am and my room was ready. Sometimes you just get lucky!!

just what I was going to respond. I'm sure it won't work all the time but if they know when to expect you i'm sure they make an effort to have your room done if it's possible. :goodvibes

I have been reading through this super thread.:cool1: Ds7 and I are staying at Pop in Feb. If I want to be close to the main pool, food court and bus stop I am thinking I might want to request the 60's section bottom floor facing the hippy dippy pool??? (using of course the fax number that seems to be magical;) Am I close?????:worship:
