Could someone please tell me what the weather will be like...Rain? Hot? Crowd level? anything else to help me get ready.

We were at WDW last year Sept 27-Oct 4.
Rain - I don't think it rained a drop on us. It was cloudy one night with a chance, but it didn't rain
Hot? - It's warm but since I live in a hot climate, I'll take warm! For some people though, they may consider it hot. It was pleasant to me.
Crowds - GREAT! A bit crowded on the weekends but not bad. Weekday crowds were wonderful. We were walking on Everest over and over during the week and walking on Pirates on the weekends.

We were there last year September 18-27 and it was great.
Weather - was hot but not unbearable, nice vacation hot
Rain - only rained one day, for about 5 hours, we were in Epcot and just kept touring, alittle rain is okay in the hot.
Crowds - were great, no longer than a 15 minute wait for everything but Toy Story Mania, even if it was a 15 minute wait, fast passes never ran out and you could get one and it would be a return time in 1 hour or so, so you could go do something else and return for your fast pass after that.

It is a great time of year to go, we liked it much better than the last time in March/April. Crowds are way better in September.

Diana, POP is kind of pretty during the holidays - homey old fashioned kind of decorations. I have a link with some photos - will find it and post.

Disapoolaza (sp?) (there is a thread on the Podcast board)is kind of a DIS gathering around the same time MF would have been going on. Some other Disney communities will be having Meets and so on. I had tje same code and am holding POP around the same dates as these Meets.

Off to find that link..

Here you go: http://www.laughingplace.com/Lotion-View-536.asp (looks better in person)

Christine, thanks for the link, I think they were very festive looking!

I will miss the meets...my dates are later in the month. December is a busy month...I will just say cay sara sara until it gets closer:)

A dream is a wish your heart makes....

Good job on the pin! :thumbsup2 I'll be at Disapalooza or DAP. There's tons of threads about it on the DisUnplugged Forum. There's a sticky at the top of that forum with a message from John. It runs Dec. 11 to 13th with the main event on the 12th.

I stayed at Pop in Dec. '07. Loved it. Loved shopping. ::yes::

I did a Dec 07 *quick* trip..shopping...but didnt get to enjoy the parks, just had one visit to EPCOT...
I almost feel guilty about receiving the pins! I rarely can use them (DVC) get so tempted!!!

But hope to use this one!! My dates are after the 17th..so my rate does go up a bit...
the DAp sounds like a great time!

Hey everybody! Just had to dance in here and say I will be leaving for Pop in 1 day and 4 hours!:cool1::cool1::cool1: I've requested 60's 4th floor, lakeview..... I'll let you know how it went when I get back!

Thanks for all the input...It sounds like what it did when I went the first week of December last year. But it was COLD, some days I felt like I was in Ohio.

Are all King rooms at POP disibility accessible? Page 1 of this post shows 81 king standard rooms and 63 disability king rooms but the CM's at Disney travel said that the only king rooms at the value resorts are disability accessible rooms:confused3. Can anyone verify for me that there are king rooms that are not disibility accessible?

I arrive at Pop Saturday afternoon 7-11.

Hey! I was there the same week as you. I've got pictures of my Mom and I with Donald at AK and we both have gloves on, coats zipped up to our chins and she has a scarf around her neck. I think it was 45 degrees that day. Looks like we are back in NH!

I noticed that you stayed in the 50s building at Pop. We were there too! Jukebox building, 4th floor, lakeview/fireworks view.

We are coming back home to Pop this August and I am so excited but...Our plans for transportation have quickly changed...we were planning on driving down but got a deal with Airtran that we could not pass up so now that we are flying... I am trying to figure out the best way to get snacks and water to our room at Pop (I want to only check one piece of luggage and not try to pack all that stuff). I want to know how everyone else does this when you fly? Do you use Garden Grocer, ship from Amazon and/or Staples??? How do you time that if you order from Amazon or Staples???? Which is most economical??? Any input here would be greatly appreciated!

I used Netgrocer.com excellent prices. I bought water, pop (Pepsi), pop tarts, granola bars, and cookies. I ordered about 5 days out and it was there within 2-3 days before our arrival. :thumbsup2

Thanks...that sounds great...what did you as far as it arriving before you did...did you ship it to yourself at the Pop address and did you have to include your reservation number?? Thanks for all this help :)

I'm so jealous - have fun!!

I've got 28 days left till we leave :)

Does anyone know if Everything POP has Twinings Tea bags lately? We were at AKL & BC this past Dec. and both the Mara & the Marketplace had a really great Twinings Tea box with lots to choose from. When we stayed at POP in 2007, Everything POP just had NesCafe Black tea bags and they were pretty bad. We drink coffee & tea daily-any help will be greatly appreciated! Can't wait!

I shipped it to the Pop address with a note to hold for guest: Lorie blah blah blah and check in date. They hold packages up to a week but I like 2 days for holding. (don't want to wer out my welcome at Pop) I was able to track package (I think) or was sent an email that it was delivered - can't remember. I know that I was notified that it was there before I got on my plane. :thumbsup2

When I checked in they said that we have a package for you. I've used Netgrocer twice and have been very happy with them.

Anyone staying at the pop from 07/30/09 to 08/08/09 need in on a fridge swap? We have a last minute cancellation and hope to keep our fridge out of storage as much as possible. Check us out on the budget board under Hop on Pop swap!
