I scrapbook and tend to print out way more than I need. I go to Walgreens because once you hit I think 50 photos the price drops.

If you have your photos on Shutterfly you can get them printed at Target.

Both places will mail them to you as well.

thanks, I love to scrapbook as well and always have more pictures than I can use.

I too am a huge scrapper and you just have to look out for specials. Right now at CVS online, if you sign up for an account (free) you will get 50 free prints. The average price is 15 cents per pic, but check out Wal-Mart, too. There's always snapfish.com too. I'd rather have them developed that way then to use up my paper and ink.

I'll check out CVS, we have several of those in town but no Walgreens (of course have Wal Mart!); I found out too how quickly the photos use up my printer ink so now I just use it for scanning and reprinting old black and white photos to make copies for family members.

I have a question for the photographers out there - I just downloaded my vacation pictures onto my computer and was going to print them out on my printer, but realize that doing it that way can cost more, who do you use to print out your digital photos and who has the best price? I noticed a couple of offers (since expired) from Kodak for 15 cents a print (they had offered free shipping on orders over 4.99) - is that the usual cost?

I use Snapfish.com. Low prices, quick shipping. You can prepay for 9 cents a pic. Sometimes they run sales, like right now it's 50 prints for 50 cents (plus shipping). Sometimes they offere free shipping.

I even made my Christmas Card online, and picked it up at my local Walgreens. Picking up prints is usually more expensive, but it was cheaper to pick up the cards.

I just wanted to put in my two cents regarding room location...
We had a prefered room, but as we were just two adults travelling, we really wanted a quiet area.

1) Prefered room was great! Well worth the extra $70 for the week... We would pop back to our room after the park, change, grab our mugs and go to the food court to grab a drink - I don't think we would have got as much use out of the mugs had we not been in the prefered room.

2) Quiet location - I faxed a request in a few days ahead of time asking for a quiet room on a top floor. My request was granted. The room was perfect....nice and quiet. We were in the back of building 10, facing some trees. I asked for a room on the top floor because I didn't want to hear people above us.

So.... I would say that you can still have your cake and eat it too... Prefered room and quiet!

I also need to put my 2 cents in. We had 3 rooms (6 adults, 5 kids) preferred rooms. We requested a lower floor because of medical reasons and close to the pool due to the kids. We were just steps from the Hippy Dippy Pool, first floor and did not hear any noise once the doors were shut

I did online check-in yesterday and didn't make any room requests. We have preferred, connecting rooms though. Should I just take my chances and be surprised?

I'm glad I requested the 50's 4th floor for our first stay at POP - we enjoyed watching the fireworks - but in the future will definitely get a preferred room closer to the buses, etc., I had developed tendonitis or a strain of my achilles just before the trip and walking was painful and difficult and walking all the way to the 50's building 2 or 3 times a day got to be a chore - would definitely like to be closer to the pool, buses, etc. next time. Also - making a room request was easy - I had called the Disney reservation number and made my request by phone and then a week or so before our trip, I faxed our request to the fax number in post 1 or 2 or this thread (and I think there is a sample letter there you can use) and we got exactly what we requested.

Howdy!

I was given a tip from a DISer regarding the resort pool restrooms.

I'm considering taking a redeye from LAX to MCO, and landing at 630AM..I know crazy..

Anyways, the Diser had told me that I could 'freshen up' at the pool restrooms because they have showers, outlets, etc. Now when they were telling me about this, I'm not sure what resort they were talking about, but i'm hoping that all the resorts have this.

Do you folks know anything? You guys would totally help me out!

the restrooms near the Hippy Dippy pool do have showers(maybe the other pools too?? I didn't look there)...I checked it out last time we stayed at Pop since we sometimes take the last flight of the day home. It is nice to clean up after spending the day in the parks

I'm doing that exact thing for my upcoming trip!:thumbsup2 LAX->MCO read eye. My flight wasn't that expensive either. It's not like I'll sleep fully the night before WDW and it's better to fall asleep in CA and wake up early in FL then to lose practically a full day from flying.

As for you question- From what I understand, POP has showers and lockers (I think there are pictures in the first post)by the pools. My last trip I stayed at POR and they had showers too, but were just showers, no little shelf or anywhere to place your stuff.. I don't remember showers from my stay at BWI though... it might vary from resort to resort.

Just got an email from Walgreens ---- if you purchase 50 prints or more, they are only 10 cents each with coupon code JULY4. :goodvibes

That's EXACTLY why i'm doing the redeye! Last time we arrived at MCO at 6pm and already a day was gone!

I was kinda mad that I never even considered taking a redeye!

Snapfish has 50 prints for 50cents plus shipping, plus when you sign up you get 25 free prints. if you want. you can PM me and I'll send you a link and I can get some free prints too. But you don't have to if you don't want to.
I also use shutterfly, adorama, clarkcolor and yorkphoto. All those sites also give you free prints when you sign up as well.

Ha! I had to laugh about this.... the morning we left for Disney, we had to be up around 4:45am to get ready and get to the airport... Well guess what time we work up at... 1:30 am!! (both myself and my BF!)

We tried our hardest to get back to sleep and just couldn't! So we got up, got ready, and then watched TV while we waited for our ride to the airport! :rotfl2:
