Then you don't have to fly Southwest!! It is their boarding passes. If you get an A pass you get to get on the plane first and pick your seats. If you end up with a B or C it is increasing more difficult to get your family to sit together. Since Southwest airlines hasn't participated in the Resort Airline Checkin unti this pilot at POP in June, no one knows how this will affect what letter boarding pass. At Southwest you can check in 24 hours in advance and then you usually get a A pass. But if we have to wait to checkin to the airlines and tag our luggage at the POP century on the mornning of our trip back, then we most likely will get C passes. Just trying to figure out and HOPE someone will post their experience with this new pilot program at POP century.

You're right! Southwest doesn't fly out of my airport so I was totally confused - LOL! Thanks for clearing that up for me. It would be nice if you got the "A" boarding pass checking in at the resort :thumbsup2

Did you have to inform Garden Grocer of this? Did you tip after the fact? We plan on going straight to the park and also want groceries delivered so I am curious how this works exactly.[/QUOTE]

When I ordered my groceries online at Garden Grocer, one of the options was to add any additional information in a text box. I typed in "PLEASE LEAVE DELIVERY WITH BELL STAFF IF I AM UNABLE TO ACCEPT DELIVERY IN PERSON"

Also on the online order form, you are given the opportunity to add a tip for the driver/delivery person to your order total. I took this route because, as happened, I was not sure I would actually see the delivery person.

I was very happy with the service. It was only DH and I, so I was a tab bit worried about us actually being able to use $40 worth of groceries. It ended up that we drank the last bottle of water on check out day and only threw away about 1/5 of the very large bag of tortilla chips and about 1/2 the jar of salsa. In hindsight, the chips and salsa weren't the best choice for us. We arrived on Saturday and ran out of breakfast foods on Wednesday! I should have skipped the chips and bought twice the amount of Pop Tarts!!! Live and learn!

I know that pop does that kind of maintenance pretty much year round. We have never been there when they weren't doing powerspraying/scrubbing of some icon and painting it.

For all those talking about the SW boarding passes. Don't forget to bring your ID, drivers license or passport. We had our boarding passes printed in MK no problem, but he did ask for ID which we did not have on us but thankfully he printed them anyways after asking us some questions first. (middle names etc.) Also make sure you have your SW reservation number with you too.

The CSR at MK was actually really good, he waited with me to the 24 hours exactly since when I went up to the counter, I was 2 minutes early. It was kind of funny, we did a little count down till the exact time. I am sure they get asked for boarding passes all the time.

I see everyone talking about SW but my question is for AirTran. Does it work just like SW. With AirTran if you are a member 24 hours before you can pay 39.00 to upgrade to first class.
But my question is how do you pay for your luggage and the upgrade? Can you do that at the pop?

Just got back from a week at Pop! Had a blast. Didn't miss the slushie machines at all. I got spoiled to the tea machine, though! Can't wait to go back.

I have that same question as well. I haven't flown AirTran since they instituted a charge for checked luggage. I'm hoping we can pay the return luggage charge when we check in for our initial departure.

Oh... I wanted to make a suggestion for those of you who haven't been to PoP before... I suggest you put the "do not disturb" sign on the door before you go to bed at night and then remove it when you leave the room in the morning. I recommend this because the Mousekeepers come around quite early in the morning (like 8am) which is great on those mornings when your up and out early, but on those mornings when we wanted to sleep in a bit, we were awoken by the mousekeeper. Not a big deal, but by putting the card in the card in the door, you can enjoy your sleep! :)

We find this a must for us since we LOVE the evening Magic Hours. We don't usually get up and going until after 10:00 pm when we stay up at MK until 3:00am:rotfl:
We love POP and not only did DD14 and I just return from a Spring Break POP stay but we are very excited about a 2 week stay there during the F&WF.:cutie:

What is your best guess - I'm trying to figure out what time we could plan on being at MK.
Our flight arrives at MCO at 7:15am (we're taking the red-eye from Seattle) and we are using ME.
I am trying to play around with ridemax for an arrival time so how long do you think it will take us to go from the airport on ME, check in to POP (I realize our room probably won't be ready but will want to check in and leave our carryons with the bell desk), and take the bus to MK.

Thanks for anyone's educated guesses!

Well, you will probably get to Pop around 8:45.

I think you could be at MK around 9:30. I would plan on 10:00, though, just to be safe.

I haven't done it but have posted the same question (different flight time and trying to get to Epcot instead, but similar!). Most folks on the Transportation board told me to allow 3 hours from arrival at the airport (actual, not scheduled) just to be safe - at least as far as making an ADR or something like that.

you are arriving on our departure day!! :thumbsup2

All I can think right now is that 8 weeks from today I will be at the Pop and 9 weeks from today I'll be at the Poly.

We had Garden Grocer deliver some items to us the day we arrived. It came on time and was accurate. Bell services delivered it to our room while we were out in the parks. There was no additional charges for this delivery by Pop.

Glad to hear good reports of GG I am using it in Sept. for the first time !!

I am happy enough with GG that I am considering using them again in September/October when I have Free Dining. My DH and I are going to double up some of our TS credits and experience a few Signature restaurants that we have never tried. That will leave us a few meals short. I think I will fill that in with breakfast foods from GG. SOOOOO much cheaper than the food courts and I am not a morning person!!!
