Is there a place to eat outside at POP? off the food court area? I want to take FULL ADVANTAGE of sun and warm when we are there in 18 days!!! starting to snow here again in New England

There are tables just outside Pop overlooking the pool. As you go through the doors watch for the environmental control fan they use to keep insects out of the food court. I've had them blow napkins and cups, etc, everywhere! Depending on the day the outside table would be a great place to sit. Enjoy.

Of course, there are tables around the pool but I'm not sure if you can take meals there. Anybody else have info on that?

Peopleeat there all the time , I don't know if you are supposed to but I've never seen a cm say anything about it !The tables by the Bar are smoking but I've seen people eating at all the tables !!

I hope we don't end up in the 70's bld...b/c from what i've seen there isn't a pool. How far is the closest pool? Wish there was some way we could ask for a certain building..oh well :)

wow, that seems pricey.

I suppose it is. But I assume not many people use it since they are on vacation so they need some way to re-coup the expense of wiring the rooms and the overall cost. Which i realize may not be extreme. I work with #'s all day so I see "outside the box". :rotfl:

Sure is there are tables outside the foodcourt looking towards the 60's section also we were in the 50's section and there were tables and chairs around the bowling pin pool and at the outside tables you could sit there and eat anything or read papers and drink coffee etc... and no one chased us away so I would assume you can eat anything you would like to bring at them etc... no one stopped us from doing so .

The closest pool would be the 60's section Hippity Dippity pool! The 70's has the Goofy's Pop Waterjets! But it would not be far for the Hippity Dippity pool! :thumbsup2

Yes , you can eat ANYWHERE you want. It doesn't matter. Just put your tray back, on top of a garbage can or in your room. Yo ucan even take it to your room. We ate at the baby pool one morning while DD spashed, and we ate in our room a few times too.

It is Disney! ;)

I was in the 70's, back towards the lake one year. We could cut between buildings to get to the pool. It wasn't. We didn;t swim much that trip as it was pretty cold. You can out a request in your original reservation, but it is not guarenteed.

Yes, yes, yes!!! :goodvibes Absolutely add a request to your reservation now and ask at check-in if anything is available before they make up your keys - they can still make the change, but it's a bit easier. :)

Sometimes we've checked in (at various resorts) and they were not aware of our request or at the time the room was assigned it was not available, so we always ask nicely when checking in.

If your most important request is to be near a pool, and the resort is not full, you should be fine! :) If a room near a pool is not available and you do not mind waiting a day, you can about the next day too.

Have a wonderful trip!! :goodvibes

You can request what building you'd like.

Does anyone know how much the bowls of watermelon cost at Everything Pop? I don't see it on any of the menus, but I know they have them at the flatbread station, and I'm thinking also in the grab-n-go area.

Expensive......Like all fruit at WDW. Best bet would be to grab a small one at Publix/Wal Mart/Winn Dixie and use a ziploc and a cooler.
