It looks like they changed up The Grey Stuff dessert at BOG. I was looking forward to trying the brownie, but not it is some vanilla tart? Anyone have more information on the taste and whether it is good (I know the actual Grey Stuff is divisive, but I still want to give it a try)?

The Grey Stuff item at lunch is different from the item at dinner. At dinner, it was on top of a mini pie shell type thing which was hard as a rock. I haven't been there at lunch so someone else will have to answer. (Photo taken March 2017)

This is what it looked like at dinner when we went in Sept 2015. The same as lunch though, the shell is hard and gross, the inside of it was like a brownie and was ok, but the Grey stuff is well, delicious! LOL

I have kids who are well versed in that dessert. During our March trip they discovered the change. The explanation for the change is that Disney was having to double bake them, hence the change. So I had one kid who hated the change, and one kid who loved the change. Ironically, the one who loved the change had braces at the time so there may be something to the double baking of the crust that made it uncomfortably crunchy for braces.

At lunch and breakfast you can get the Master's cupcake, which is a chocolate cupcake with the grey stuff on top in the middle. The new dinner dessert I really enjoyed. For mine, I found the crust more crumbly then rock hard. The white chocolate mousse was delicious, in my opinion.

In Jan 2016, the grey stuff dessert was the long cookie/brownie thing. I thought the Master's cupcake was so much better. When we returned in Jan 2017, we found the dessert had changed to the mousse tart. I much prefer the tart to the cookie/brownie, and I also like it just as much as the Master's cupcake now. Our tarts were not rock hard and were, in fact, delicious. I hope they do not ever revert back to the cookie/brownie version.

I use a fork to eat the cupcake without removing the wrapper.
