The Great Pin Adventure Pin Meet - August 11, 2001 (Contemporary)

Greetings Adventurers!

I hold in my hand a map. It is not an ordinary map but one that holds great treasure and adventure. I invite all of you to join in as the next great story unfolds. On August 11th 2001 at 8:00, Mean Laureen and I will host The Great Pin Adventure! This adventure is like no other you have ever experienced. I have invited several members of my former expeditions to join us for an evening of fun, socializing and pin trading. This is a pin meet you don't want to miss. Although the meet begins at 8:00, you are free to come and go as your schedule permits. To help document the pin meet and what you can expect, I have created a web page for you to find the latest plans and arrangements.

As you can see on the webpage, our first meet activity has been posted (and for your information Jeff, I never lost my groove )

We are looking for some creative ideas for other activities.. only requirement is that it has to be fun..adventurous.. and maybe a little crazy

As darkness settles down upon our adventurers, Arizona Jeff and Mean Laureen work feverishly to try and decipher the adventure map to define the details of The Great Pin Adventure. Although neither of them had a lantern, the map was illuminated like the mid-day sun from the reflection off of Mean Laureen's neon DIS shirt once again proving that DIS brings good things to light. Oh wait, I think that was General Electric or one of the other electric officers. Another activity has been identified and posted to the web site. The Attendee list has also been updated to include resorts so you may list where you will be staying if you wish. The deadline looms for determining the number of pins and lanyards we will need. If you have not said you want one, time is drawing near. You can send your request to Arizona Jeff and I will add it to the list. As of right now, I have 3 individuals who have not responded. They are:

Just a quick update. As of 7:00 AM this morning, we have 112 people signed up for The Great Pin Adventure pin meet. There is still room for more so if you are going to be at the Epcot Pin Event in August, we would love to have you stop by and see us at the Contemporary on the 11th of August. The adventure begins at 8:00 PM.

whos bringing their kids along to the event...and if so what are their ages???? I am trying to think of something for the kids, just for the kids to do at the meet. Sort of a little pin swap just for them......let me know if yours are coming.
