This is the only attraction we didn't do at MGM in May 2003 and I was wondering if we made a mistake skipping over it. I read in Birnbaum's what it's all about but I don't know if my DD9 would like it. Any thoughts?

I'm starting to think now, hmmmm...we didn't do Playhouse Disney, The Magic of Disney Animation or the American Film Institute Showcase either. Maybe back then I thought my DD would think it boring.

We skipped the Great Movie ride in 2002 and 2003, then rode it in January 2004 ... my grandkids 7 & 8 LOVED it ... we ended up riding it twice in the same day ... that was the only ride they wanted to repeat at MGM.

We also did the Magic of Disney Animation ... DGS has issues with his drawing (didn't listen to/follow the instructions) but DGD enjoyed the show and the drawing instruction.

We really like the Great Movie Ride. DS was 8 the first time we did it and loved it. It's worth doing. We have also did the other two but DS was not trilled with either one at 8 or9. This year at almost 12 he liked the animation.

I can't say that my kids loved it both trips, (last time they were 7 and 5, and 5 and 3 the trip before) but they didn't mind it and it was a nice opportunity for some relaxation. This attraction is like spaceship earth and Small world for me and my family, nothing exiting but something we do to be entertained and relax.
