So for those of you that have not heard an update in awhile I am in my new house! Away from the bratty kid that threw things at my dog and townhouse, away from the drug dealer, away from the vandalism, away from the stupid manager than wouldnt allow satalite "it will be an eyesore!" never mind the cars on cinder blocks.

I cant believe how wonderful it feels to pull into my driveway and walk inside and just relax. Its changed me in ways I never knew possible with ownership. I closed without a driveway, its in now. My yard wasnt sodded yet, that got done on Thursday. And my landscaping, which is about 90% finished as of Friday. Now all thats left is the fence......which brings me to...The great cow showdown!

Staring Bullet as the lead um...dog. So since I have moved Bullet is getting used to "real" living but really has been pretty good, just a few adjustments in how to let me know he needs to go out. But since I have had dirt for the past 2 weeks outside instead of grass I have been walking him down the street for most potty breaks. Since I have the grass in now I have switched to the back yard. Well the cows that roam behind my house have mostly been in the far fields, I guess they rotate them around so today they were right outside my fence. Silly me doesnt realize that Bullet has never really seen a cow and the cows have never really seen Bullet:) Not sure if it was good that I had him on the leash or not yet but as soon as I open the door and realize the error in my ways off goes Bullet with me attached! I didnt know that my dog was capable of running that fast or that strongly! So I literally go flying down the yard and smack into the barb wire fence which Bullet was under by this time(its not barbed down on the bottom parts just the top which was just even with my forehead) and the cow that was the most friendly or curious must have been thinking whats this thing screaming and yelling and comes directly up and licks my face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EWWWWWWWWWWWW I mean I love the cows but I dont really want to get THAT close! So I debate, if I let go of Bullet he may be hard to get back so I figure out a way to get him back onto my side of the fence by laying backwards and putting my feet by the fence and pulling with all my might. Finally we get away from the nice friendly licking cow and back inside with only minor scrapes and cuts!

Sooooooo Cows-1

Bullet-0 Hope that fence goes up next week!!!

But see the cows were friendly and not throwing things at your dog. THink of them as the WELCOME WAGON in your area!! Apparently none of them were up on cinderblocks :rotfl:

Yes lol believe me it was an improvement over where I lived before, it just took me by surprise. That along with the barbed wire in my forehead..I just wasnt ready for the cow to lick my face :rotfl: but I did fall over laughing after I got inside. I would much rather have the licking cows over the bratty kids and the dumppy townhouse complex!

Glad it was a friendly cow and not a mad bull! Nice that even the animals welcome you to the neighborhood!

This made me think of a story one of my friends told me about her cows.

She was up on the second floor of her house and she could see down into the cow field. I was on the phone with her and my other friend, Lacy. Well Keirsten (owner of the cows) was watching her cows. Now her cows like to run. They 'race' each other. well lacy and I were talking and keirsten goes, "oh my god." lacy and I both go "what?!" she goes, "one little cow was racing one bigger cow and both of the cows ran straight into a BIGGER cow, which took off running and ran into a tree" lacy and I hit the floor laughing. Now we have a joke about it, "one little cow was racing a big cow..." :rotfl:
