The real work started to day!

Here's a few photos before I started to take the basin and bath out:

The basin bath and shower came out with not many problems - tiles were a different matter!
The people who had the house before us had put a second layer of tiles on top of the first layer. I'm not sure what they used to stick them on, but the whole lot just came away from the wall. I think the only thing holding the tiles up was the grout!

All tiles off and bagged up ready to take down the tip :)

I guess you're still working on the photos, Tim! I'll come back later. :p

I think the NTLWorld homepage site is paying up Deb - try again later :)

OMG Tim ~ You certainly have been busy!!

Ah, yes - I can see them now. What is it with dogs (and cats come to that)? If you wanted him to get in the bath, I bet he'd stubbernly refuse! We can never get our cats into a carrier when we need to take them to the vets, but leave a cardboard box alone for more than 2 seconds and they're in like Flint! (Who is Flint, anyway?)

I actually like the blue suite, btw! I bet as soon as everyone's converted to white, all the retro 70s colours will be trendy again...

You have been busy, maybe you could have a word with my partner, who decided we needed a drive, and to knock all the fence panels, my brick planter etc, up and then gave up after one hour because he couldnt move the thing what your fences slide into (typical woman slang)....so now my garden looks like a bomb as literally dropped!!

I'm having a new bathroom suite fitted tomorrow (Monday), but getting a firm in to do it.

I couldn't believe it when I saw your pics Tim........ same tiles!!!
This is my bathrrom at the moment!

The people who did the tiling even tiled around the bathroom cabinet

What a huge job, Tim. I'm impressed with your wonderful home improvement talents :)

LOL We've just finished our bathroom refit!!! I thought it would take a couple of weeks - it actually took a couple of months. But it's lovely now. I could spend all day in it given half the chance!!!

Keep up the good work.

Have you finished the bathroom Tim?

Ours took 2 1/2 days looking all lovely now, we put pvc cladding over the tiles. Saying we what I mean is the Fitters did !!!

Not quite finished yet!

It's taking a bit longer than I planned :earseek:

The bath is installed and working and the tils are up and grouted all round the bath area. The shower is installed , but needs the shower head rail fitting.

I'm just tiling behind the basin area so I can fit the that next. Although I will probably fit the plywood sheets to the floor first (for the new flooring), so I don't have to cut round the pedestal.
