I called them last week and was told that there really is NOT an exp. date on them. I don't remember why she said they put them on there but she assured me that they are like Disney vouchers you buy online and that they don't expire until 14 days after activating them.

Ok found the website.

Notice the tickets expire December

Yes, just caught the expiry date of 12/31/18. You would fall within that if you upgrade in October.

Wondering though if you would not use until closer to expiry date on tix, say 10/18. Would they still bridge them to an AP?

Just hope these aren't 'special' group tix like the USSSA ones that can't be upgraded.

Have there been confirmed reports posted on DIS as to ability to upgrade them?
Yes they have. Here is a thread. There has been a couple of others about these tickets.

I no longer do the "buy thru a reseller and upgrade" scenario. The last two times trying to do this has been a nightmare. Multiple cm's, supervisors, getting the tickets back and going to a different guest service location. Only to be told that Disney no longer price bridges. Or you only get credit for what the reseller paid Disney. Or my favorite- Disney will only allow tickets purchased in the last two months to be upgraded. Just not worth it to me anymore. I know you can save a few bucks. But my time and sanity is worth something too.

This has happened the past two years trying to upgrade tickets purchased thru undercover tourist to DVC annual passes. Now we just renew thru member services

Completely agree. We upgraded UT tickets twice. Both were a nightmare. The first time it was more an issue of nobody knew what to do. The second time they were insisting that we bought our tickets through a third party and were telling me I paid less per ticket than we actually paid. Finally gave me the correct price but it took a long time and was very aggravating. Not a good way to start vacation.

I have never had an issue. I always have my receipt from UT and I know going in what the bridging amount should be. I have done this a few times. I think it might just come down to NEW CM's.

We just moved to FL from NJ, this is our first time buying APs, I was planning on purchasing tix through UC and bridging, that's how I found this thread (I read about bridging YEARS ago.) Obviously Parksavers deal right now is a larger discount, but am wondering if they are upgradeable or not, just like keishashadow asked. Hoping someone has experience with this!

Yes, you can upgrade them.

I have a concern, well a question really. ON the Park Savers site it asks for a redemption date. We wouldn't be exchanging them for our AP's until April 2017. Are they still going to be good?

NEVERMIND! Found the answer! :o

The tix are really good until Dec. 2018 but they told me when I called them that they ask for a date so they can make sure that you don't need something like the next day or something. DH and I are activating ours in Sept. but DS won't use his until January.

I could not agree with this more. In my case, I have to deal with the DAS card for my handicapped stepson. About 70% of the time it's no issue, 25% of the time they don't understand what I'm asking for, and 5% (once) the CM simply lied and says they don't have it anymore.

Last time we were there, I had a few old passes from god-knows-when I was trying to get switched to the new system and after about 30 minutes of standing at the window (literally a line of people waiting behind me that built up while I was standing there... quite embarrasing) the CM had gotten 2... TWO... done. Running late for dinner, I took what he had done and will have to get back to it later. I don't necessarily blame the CMs; they're all different, receive different levels of training from different managers at different times, etc, etc, etc.. but anything I can do to avoid having to have someone manually process something like a ticket upgrade is worth it to me. Sometimes it'll be no problem at all, and other times it's like you're literally stuck in hell 20 feet from the entrance to EPCOT but you just can't get any closer.

I just bought 3 DVC passes online and now I don't have to think about it for a year. When we get there, we'll scan and go right in :)

OH, and regarding those 3 passes, one is gold and 2 are platinum ($100 more) since DW and I will be there for NYE this year. So what if we have to cancel NYE and we didn't need the platinum after all? Same thing. I don't want to even chance having to get in line around NYE to upgrade. As I said, I don't have to deal with tickets until September 2017 at the earliest and that's worth it to me!
