I heard a lot that scared me before I left so I thought I'd give my opinion about Disneyland! Here's what I observed on my four days there from June 15-18.
1. It was crowded. And hot. However, people were respectful and kind. Only stroller that ran me over was my own. People seemed to take extra care to be polite.
2. The grads weren't bad. We were in dca on grad night. Lots of large groups of teenagers who were exuberantly loud but they weren't foul or rude. Just happy.
3. Getting a das for an under three is a pain. You have to do it every day. They need a better system.
4. Cast members were wonderful. So nice and helpful. We found no grumpy people. We lost my daughters autograph book and I'll admit, I was crying. Several cast members came up to make sure I was okay and gave me the number to call to find it.
5. The kids food is atrocious. I understand wanting to be healthy but it should taste good. The Mac and cheese couldn't be wiped off my children, resulting in a horrible sensory breakdown and head banging.
6. If your husband ever gets the brilliant idea to put your one year old on the stationary dumbo and leave her alone to take a picture, you will get to meet the nursing staff and security staff. Nice people. They didn't even tell my hubs how stupid he was. Our poor baby though now has all her birthday pictures looking like she was in a bar fight.
7. Watch the parade and fireworks near iasw. We got there at 8 in the disability section and had front row. There was plenty of front row left at 7:30. And the fireworks viewing wasn't crowded.
8. Had a bizarre experience with woody. He was holding my daughter on his lap and she got scared. He wouldn't let go until I screamed at him. She ended up running away and I think that is when the book got lost.
9. Disneyland is an awesome vacation. The end.
