The Good Ole Freap Chat ~ Sequel Part III ~

Thanks You
My DRS told me today I can walk it with her if I want:cool1:
So I am going to give it a try.
They told me today all test look good. I had biospy done two weeks ago for them to make sure it had not spread. It came back clean. The MRI shows that I still have a growth on the left but it looks like it is getting smaller. They seem to think all is going as planned. :cool1: :cool1:
They will redo the testing again in Feb. to make sure.

Okay so the digging of my street is just about in front of my house. :sad2:
They are so wasting time and money.
I swear I want to give all the kids on the street paint and let them do it.
Then next fall maybe just maybe they will replace the gas lines. :rotfl2:

I feel your pain. I don't say that I'm from "the orange barrel capitol of the world" for nothing.

Hi, all! We got back from out trip last week but our backsides have really been dragging!

We were both exhausted by the time we left for Orlando. It is a full day of travel from up here to down there. We got in late that night and went straight to bed once we checked in. The next day, we both slept until 9:30a which would have been 7:30a at home. We did that the entire week we were at WDW. Our body time clocks just stayed on “at home time” and sometimes we would sleep until 11:00a, 9:00a at home. The same was with our sleep time. We would fall asleep around 11:30p or midnight, which was 9:30p or 10:00p home time. This didn’t make for a lot of park time sometimes. :sad2:

We enjoyed the dining plan and we played a round of miniature golf this trip, which we had never done before.

We went to a couple of clubs at PI this trip, and we had never done that before, either. I got the drink bucket Madd told us about and a souvenir glass from the Comedy Club and the Adventurer’s Club. They even made it home in one piece!! At one of our meals, we ordered the kid’s fruit juice drink and I got a Tink light up pin and DH got a Captain Hook light up pin. pirate:

Our room CM left us a couple of towel figures and she told us we could take one of them home, which we did…it goes to my grandson. We took him to WDW last year and he keeps begging to go back so I brought him a lot of souvenirs. :wizard:

On the day we got home, DS was rear-ended on his way into town after school. He was stopped at a stop light and it was a low impact collision. DD took him to the ER to have him checked out and he is fine. The car has damage to the bumper and it will be repaired by insurance. We were lucky it wasn’t any worse and DS is ok!

DH and I both got sick as soon as we got home. Like a very mild flu. Now, DS is sick and he says it is all over his school. Must just be that time of year!

DH had left our cows in the field where the new building is. He had hay stored in the building but didn’t have doors up yet. He put some flexible wire panels up to keep the cows out of the hay but they are so big (and they need a lot of feed to keep that size believe me) and the 2 biggest cows pushed up against those wire panels until they popped them out of the door way and they just had a party eating all the hay they could get for those last 2 days we were gone. They also pushed those panels up against the front of the building repeatedly, while trying to push them out, and the panels scratched the paint off almost every color of the quilt I was painting on the building. I still hadn’t finished all the coats yet so I had not removed the tape. Now, I will need to repaint every color from about 2/3 down.

DD was going to come out and stay with DS while we were gone but I guess he was so busy with school activities that he would get home, eat, and go to bed so she only came out here 2 nights. Given there was only 1 person here for a week, it is amazing how much laundry there is to be washed! :laundy: UGH! I don’t think DH and I will take another trip like this until DS is gone to college next year. That way, the house will be the same as I left it when I get home!! :cloud9:

Sounds like everyone here has kept busy and I am glad to see HRH is back. I am sorry about everything you have been going through this year, Linda. And I am glad to hear that you are getting so much better so quickly, Kellie. I made a donation at the Kellie’s Cubs site but I don’t know if I did it right because I don’t see anything about it there. Have fun at the walk....I know you can do it!! :woohoo:

DH is out of town today and I need to run into town to get the mail and run some errands so I will be back later! How did everyone else’s WDW trip go!? If you are leaving for WDW soon, have a fun, safe trip and take lots of pictures! :goodvibes

Welcome Home!!!

Glad you had a good trip :), but sorry about the accident and the illness :(

Kellie- I'm so glad to hear your good news!! :flower3:

mtblu- Your trip sounds awesome! I've been begging my boys to do the mini-golf with me, but so far, no takers! I think I'd have an easier time getting them into the Hall of Presidents! ;)

Congratulations Kellie!! That is great news.

Welcome back Susan. Sounds like you and your DH had some good quality time together but it always stinks to get back to uproar and mayhem. Believe me, I know. We have come home to find a message from DH's friend saying he had to take our pup to the vet and then the doggie died the very next day.:sad2: We have also come home from a vacation to find that a water line in the kitchen of our old house actually froze and busted and then thawed out leaving a HUGE mess.:headache: Hopefully, the cows didn't eat too much considering the price of hay these days and I hope you get good weather to work on your quilts.

Do you guys remember the fire truck hat and the sunglasses hat I made a month or so ago?

Well I delivered them and she said, "they're adorable, but I want something else." :scared1:

Don't get me wrong, I want her to be happy. I really, really do. But, ARGGGH! The thing that bugs me is that I knew from the beginning that she wouldn't be happy with them. I'll try one more time, but every time I make a hat that she doesn't like, I lose money.

Hopefully I'll be able to sell the original ones to someone.

Welcome back Susan. I am glad you had fun.
Sorry your DS got hit but glad he is fine.

You did do the donation right. Shaunna gets some kind of notice when someone adds to it. She called me asked if I knew some of the names.
Thank You for doing that.

Welcome back Susan! We were wondering about you! So now we know...but we want pictures!!! Surely you took some at WDW???

Alesia...I frankly would tell so called friend tough $#!+ ...just me though! :rotfl2: On the other hand, your hats are sooo adorable I would have a hard time believing that no one will buy them!

Welcome back Susan!!!

I want to know if you LUVed the Adventurers Club!!! That place is our fave! I have heard rumors they MAY end up moving it over to the Boardwalk!!!!

I am crossing my fingers!!! They just CAN'T do away with the AC!!!!:scared1: :sad2:

Eeyore!!? Are you watching Chef Ramsey!!!?

He is PO'd:lmao: I think this is the loudest I have heard him scream:rotfl2:

Thanks You

Hi, all! We got back from out trip last week but our backsides have really been dragging!
Welcome back! Sorry to hear about the getting sick and the paint! Post some trip photos when you get a chance. :goodvibes

I'm so happy we missed Hurricane Ike! It rained for us a couple of days but it stopped, I can't complain about the weather. However, when we got home it was raining non-stop for 3 days and that's when all the floods started. I'm glad we got back in time since my dad's basement flooded, it was just one of those things you don't want to deal with after a vacation.:headache:

Loved the AKV and would stay there again!:thumbsup2

Someone tell me these don't look/sound good although with the fall season upon us I am debating trying them with homemade cranberry sauce instead of the cherry http://smuckers.com/Recipes/Details.aspx?recipeID=30

And yes, that is the one product I will make and not buy canned. I cannot stand canned cranberry sauce but homemade is unbelievable ~ I make it on Turkey day and Christmas day and serve warm.....mmmmmmm! I guess it will depend on if I can find fresh cranberries yet in the stores!
