Nope, no full moon yet. Maybe the electromagnetic field has been knocked asunder(I love that word "asunder" ).

I forgot to tell ya'll that we saw the coolest thing last night while eating supper. Right at the edge of our woods was 3 foxes! We see one large one all the time but she rarely comes that close to the house. Yesterday, she had 2 smaller ones(I'm guessing they were born this spring) and they were eating some apples DH threw out the other day. We had a huge box on the porch and they were starting to go bad so he sorted them and tossed the icky ones. We had a great view of the foxes and DH tried to go out the back door to get a photo but they heard him and ran off. I'm hoping they return.

IAHD-no Dunkin Donuts around here.

We had a den of baby foxes last year (5 total) who would come in our front yard each evening as the sun was starting to set and just wrestle and play. It was really fun to watch. We have some little dogs, so I would have to send the big ones out first so they would scatter. Our chihuahua (see avatar) came nose to nose with the daddy and growled him away . I sent the boys out with them after that. This year, we only have 1 adult fox- no new litter.

Yesterday was a semi-crappy day. I was just out of sorts. I get in my car this morning and my clock says 6:66. I'm like, "you have got to be kidding me..."

...Starbuck's has the pumpkin lattes out for the season. I love those things, but the other day it was about 90 degrees and did NOT sound appealing. I also love,love,love their pumpkin cream cheese muffins. OMG those are good. I found a recipe and can now make my very own on weekends.

Dunkin Donuts make an AWESOME pumpkin muffin too but make sure they put on the extra sugar icing that they are supposed to drizzle on ~ if they skip that step it's just not the same

1 spice cake mix
1 can pumpkin pie filling

Mix together, scoop in muffin tin and bake. Sprinkle w/powedered sugar. That's it.. soooo easy and even better with a or cream cheese icing!

By the way... I love all the names for us freaps... sadly--- I think I am a 'freap-loader' as I never find any freebies to post that aren't already posted

Just the mix and pumpkin... I bake mine at 350 for 20 min. or so I think. I really dont remember though and it's not written down anywhere... I'm one of those that just wings it!

A very good friend of my mom's died last night. She had brain cancer and we knew it wouldn't be long.

She helped us at a time when we disparately needed it. She gave my mom a job when she needed a second one because my father couldn't be bothered to do anything more strenuous than sit on a bar stool.

When my mom finally left him, Sara gave us a place to live. She also had the wisdom to make it very clear that if she ever let him into the house we would all be out of there. And she meant it. My mom, after 20 years of being beaten finally realized that this was her chance and she took it. She never went back to him, and I think Sara deserves a lot of the credit. She was someone that expected my mom to live up to a higher standard.

She went peacefully in her sleep, and for that I am grateful. But what I'm most grateful for, though, is that after years of being married to abusive jerks herself, she got to spend the last 15 years of her life with a man who truly loved her and took care of her.
