I went to get my hair cut today and I made more money in new hat orders than I spent on my hair! Now I can totally justify getting my hair done!

I should be packing and getting ready to go to the Cape. DH's nephew is getting married Saturday and we are leaving in the am. Dh is leaving early and DD and I will drive down after her classes get over.
My DRs gave me the okat to go (i was going anyway) They also made sure DH can do the packing of the wound.

Love them. Wish my DD was little again--she was a hat girl. ALways had one on to match her outfit. Now, at 14, she doesn't like anything--or that's how it seems some days

At first, when I read the kids were twins, I thought you were going to say you made the hats so mom and dad can tell them apart!

But that Is a cute idea to match the hats to mom and dad's professions!

I have never seen so many character photos in one visit! We don't usually see too many characters when we visit WDW. Clearly, we are doing something wrong.

I am looking forward to hearing about your weekend trip, Kellie. I have never been to Cape Cod. What kind of temps do they have this time of year?

Love all the Disney pictures and the new hats look fantastic! I love it when our Freaps post pictures.

I'm dragging around again this morning. I had to work again last night but did get off at 11:00 and was in bed by 1:00 I'm one of those people that really need 7-8 hours of sleep though. So I'm alternating between the Dis and my current book I'm reading which is really good. It's called Loving Frank and is a fictional account of the relationship between Frank Lloyd Wright and his mistress from her perspective. It is much better than I expected.

I keep forgetting to mention my freebie haul the other day. In our mailbox was a note that we had a package at the post office that wouldn't fit. So I'm wondering what kind of wonderful freebie showed up since I hadn't ordered anything lately. I go to pick it up and it was a fairly large box but didn't weigh much. Inside was.......a whole bunch of toilet paper! It's for some survey where we are supposed to try it out and then report back. I don't even remember signing up for it. This week I have also got 3 pairs of panties from the GARB survey people. This is the second time they have sent me stuff for free and when you fill out their survey later they send you a check. Also I have gotten this week the free trimmer(DH thought this was the best) another free roll of TP from Walmart, cat food and have filled my freezer with free bread from the coupon in the paper a couple weeks ago.

I'm currently trying to plan a WDW trip for May for DD's b-day and mine and DH's anniversary. I'm thinking we'll stay at POP with the DDP for 5 days and then maybe get a room only at AKL for 3 nights. Has anyone ever done a split stay? I want the AKL part to be a surprise but need to figure a way to book it without DH finding out. I have $220 on a Disney gift card but still need more for the one night deposit. DH reads all the bills and checks our checking account all the time so I don't know how to hide it. My plan right now is to keep adding a little here and there to my gift card until I have enough to pay with that but since I want a CL room I need to do it soon before they sell out. Looking at the prices, it's not that much more for the CL than a standard savannah view room and we would have free food. We're really far too broke to be planning a trip but I can't resist. Even if it doesn't happen, it's still fun to think about.

Interesting sounding book. I don't know much about FLW but I have the impression he had a bit of a tragic life. It doesn't seem that he was recognized for his talent as much as he should have been...until he was gone.

Tell me more about the GARB survey...

I missed the trimmer freebie some how. DH is growing a beard for the winter and he could have used that.

I can't hide anything from my DH so I am clearly not very good in that department.

We have never done a split stay and I am not that familiar with the resorts so I am eager to see the information the rest of the FREAPS provide.

Our trip next week had to be bare-bones or DH wouldn't go for it. He always resists going to WDW but then he doesn't want to come home when we get down there. Our week with the free dining is about $800 and we are using frequent flyer miles to get there. This may be the cheapest Florida trip we have ever taken. Seems like a bargain to me.

I took yesterday off from work and went to the city yesterday for supplies. My mom went with and we had fun with a few exceptions. The eye exam was great while waiting I was telling mom all the things I could see in the distance. Then after the new contacts I couldn't see 30 yards. The gals says to give them a try. So we walk around for 40 minutes and I still can't see. We go back and get the right eye adjusted with a new contact.

I can only say I wish I could see as good with contacts as I do with glasses. They just don't get the reading as clear or big. Why is that? Why can't I have contacts that make reading wonderful and everything else clear? Urg!!! But I have a new set and I will keep trying.

We are so worried about the storms coming to Disney. We are going to just wait and see what happens. I bought 5 umbrellas and 16 ponchos for the trip. I hope we don't need them.

MTbluejeans. I didn't ride the horses in a year and DD only rides them at fair. Yet they were so sweet and such good friends for me. It broke my heart and I was a witch for weeks. Intellectually it was the right thing but my heart hurts to this day. We could afford to feed them but it came down to why have something we don't use, won't use and costs so much. They big paint and colt stayed together and have a wonderful 10 yr old girl who loves them. Cowboy went to a lady my age and she just was perfect for him and he for her. I am so lucky that I got to pick the new owners and I know they will find.

Today, back to work and reading Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain.
