Extended Evening Hours question

I have been to the park many times, but only stated at deluxe hotel once and have never been to extended evening hours. All of the information I’ve seen says that you need “valid Park admission”

If I plan to go to beach club for four nights in March and arrive on a Wednesday, but I’m only going to have a two day park ticket, which I plan to use on Thursday and Saturday, can I attend extended evening hours on Wednesday night or will that somehow count as one of my days on my ticket?

It will count as one of your days.

You would need to have a valid park admission for Wed. Going to EEH would use one of your 2 days of park admissions.

Yes, it would use a park day and if you went to a different park earlier in the day which is different from the park that has the evening hours- need park hopping privileges.

We went during extended evening hours for 2 of our days this trip, once at Epcot and once at MK, and honestly it was pretty underwhelming. Wait times weren't much lower for any of the big rides and it still felt really crowded. The night at Epcot was an almost total bust because TT was down the entire time, and then guardians went down 10 min into it and remained down until 20 min before EEH close, and we had to sprint over there to get in line which had shot up to 50 min by then.

Likewise, 7DMT was down for our MK night and Tron never dropped under 60 min. We actually had a lower wait for Tron when we got in line during the fireworks.

The extra hours are nice, but not something to build a trip around, at least not at Epcot.

I found the lines for the popular lines to be long.

Probably the best part was walking around an almost empty Epcot.

It is still bonus time. And it's night if you aren't a rope-dropper, but to miss it isn't a big deal.

If I remember correctly, you have to scan into the rides and if your band isn't linked to a current qualifying room you don't get to get into the line.

They scan your admission: band, phone, card whatever you used. They don’t stop you from walking around, not much is open.

At Epcot, they do close off the World Showcase between Norway and France so if you want to go from Frozen to Remy you have to take the long way.

The route past Mexico & Canada to France is actually shorter than going all around WS.

Either way, we decided to skip the walk to Remy and did Guardians twice instead. Then we found a 10 minute wait at Remy around noon a few days later so everything worked out.

As @focusondisney shared, it is shorter to walk via Canada than the other way when walking between Frozen and Remy.

Related to this thread, anyone know how Disney keeps track of people in the parks are actually staying at a deluxe? My wife and I attend the EPCOT extended hours and was astounded at how many people were there after the fireworks. We wanted early access to the Remi, however, the HUGE surge of people immediately following the fireworks was very surprising. We were lucky the wait was about 15 minutes (strategically located near France during fireworks and bee-lined to Remi), however, when we left, the wait had exceeded 60 minutes. We were going to try for Frozen, however the wait was over 80 minutes, and skipped. We did not see anyone checking bands for entry. It seemed the park was open to everyone for the extended hours.

Anyone can stay in the park, but only deluxe hotel guests can ride the rides. Cast members scan your magic band/ticket/phone (wherever you have your admission media) to check your hotel. Much like early entry.

They don't keep track of Guests.

We wanted early access to the Remi, however, the HUGE surge of people immediately following the fireworks was very surprising.

Regular Guests are able to get in line for any open attraction up until park close.

That's why lines tend to fill right before / at park close. For attractions open during EEH that line is closed at the end of that queue, and then you need a MB, RF Card indicating your resort, or your room key for Swan / Dolphin / Shades of Green for example.
