We've never eaten here before and we have a ressie for our trip in September. Thoughts?

we enjoy going to this restaurant.....we like the food and the entertainment and if you have to share your table with another family or couple ...sometimes they are nice and sometimes they are non English speaking....but still can be pleasant.....

The entertainment was good, but both my DH and I thought the food was only so-so. Nothing spectacular and a lot of the food seemed to be only luke warm. Definitely not as good as any food I got in Germany. We had a nice couple join us at our table, and my DH was picked as part of the entertainment, but I admit we won't try going back again. Also the entertainment isn't always playing, so check what times it begins if that is important to you.

This was one of our favorite dining experiences of our last trip. The food was all good. Entertainment was a lot of fun. Beer was great! My kids didn't care for the desserts, because they aren't very sweet, but DH and I enjoyed them. :thumbsup2

I have a CP package reservded for Biergarten in Dec. I originally chose it for one member of our party who lived in Germany when she was young and really wanted to try it. She may no longer be able to come on the trip :( and I have another family member who is a vegetarian. Will he be absolutely miserable there or are there enough side dish type things to get by? Has anyone asked the chefs do make up something special there?

It has been a few years since we ate there but food was cold and really not that good. Counter service food at Germany was much better. Maybe, it has changed for the better!! We will try it again soon. Note: Restaurant was really something to see and entertainment was great.

We went in 2001 and again in 2006. We enjoyed it each time. I agree with the above posts. It isn't the best food at Disney, but it is good. The entertainment is cute and the atmosphere is fun.

I think you should try it at least once.

Have fun!!!

The Biergarten makes the best macaroni and cheese on Disney property. The apple strudel is the best I have ever tasted and I've had it in Germany AND Austria.

The Biergarden is a DNM (do not miss) tradition with our family. Lunch on our first full day at WDW is always at the Biergarden! We love the food and the entertainment. Once and awhile we get a nice family or couple at our table that will talk with us but most of the time people just keep to themselves.

If you go don't miss the Apple Strudel with warm vanilla sauce!

I ate at the Biergarten for the first time in October and then wait again in May. I had a great meal both times. The only negative that I had was that on my May trip, the service was a bit slow.

My dh loved the food in Jan.......the boys barely ate anything. Matter of fact they ending up taking off one of their meal prices because he barely ate. My daughter and I thought it was just okay. The atmosphere is fun....worth trying but we won't go back. My husband said he is fine with just eating at the counter service there.

We did not care for the seating, will not go back unless we have a party of 8.

Love going to this place, the food and music are awesome. The food is out of this world

Do not like the dessert selection at all..the only thing I LOVE is the warm apple strudel with a lot of vanilla sauce but it is so good that it empties quick and they are not fast on replenishing it.

Do not like when we sit with people that do not like to talk to others...luckily this has not happed too often

We have a party of 7. Would we be seated with another family or will we have the table to ourselves?

Loved it. Stumbled into it by chance last year and it will be our first dinner this year.. loved the atmosphere too.. take a look at these pixs (menu from last October) Great Value...

We all enjoyed it. Dh said many of the foods were what he had to eat on a trip to Germany a few months before going.

My kids found enough to eat, they really liked the roast pork, it was very good as were many of the other dishes.

I would definitely go again.

We were there in early July this year

Another :thumbsup2 for Biergarten.
Good service, food and fun. I think the entertainment plays every hour on the hour, but could be wrong. We have always seen all, if not most of a show when we have dined there.

I have never been there where they were filling every seat. Once we had three in our party and did not even share a table then.

When it is DH and I, we are usually seated with another family. Once it turned out in their favor. I saw their littler kids were not eating much (mac n cheese and one slice of pizza).
I asked the server and she managed to get our DDE discount on to the other family's bill.
And then their little girl was randomly selected to light the Christmas tree inside the Biergarten that night.
:wizard:

This past March we ate there. DH is the only one who liked it enough to return. The food was ok, I guess. I personally ended up in the bathroom quite a bit for the rest of the day. The entertainment though was wonderful.

My family loved it. My dad is Austrian and we grew up on my grandma's Austrian dishes. A lot of the food there reminded me of her and the meals she'd cook. We all loved the food. Unfortunately, I booked the ADR an hour too early for the entertainment. We'd go back again for certain! Oh, just don't eat at Ohana's the night before...most of us were still stuffed when it came to our 1:30 Biergarten lunch! But we ate anyway!
