Yes,
5 times is a keep it. I have sat for the last 2 hours loving the messages from around the country behind us on Sky Sports true English underdogs.

One final point--- i hope they give Man City a UEFA place if we are awarded a Champs League spot. They have to be respected for their acheivements. Well done True City of Manchester Team

congrats to all liverpool supporters even as a man u fan I was on the edge of my seat, what a finish! what a final! well done

Amazing :teeth:

I almost turned off at half time. We were being played off the park and it looked like all we could do was minimize the humiliation. :(

Then Stevie Gerrard scored and the game turned. He gave another immense performance after half time and I hope that new we have won the Champions League that he decides to stay and help us win more trophies :)

And fingers crossed that UEFA can stop being so stubborn and let us defend our title next season.

It was a great final and a fantastic result.

The funniest bit was the rogue fan on the Sky Jamie Cara interview who ran up to the camera and shouted (in scouse) "F**kin nice one lads" and then ran off, prompting Richard keys to apologise if anyone was offended by the language, "but we are live tv".
Excellent.
Phil Thomson commenting that even Stevie Wonder could have seen that was handball and a penalty was also a tad amusing.

Brilliant.

We have done no work today so far.

Yes netmeeting is taking a battering today isnt it dave.

How would it work though if Liverpool did go into the Champions League next season? Would Everton have to be chucked out? I read today that UEFA are saying it's up to our FA to decide who the 4th team going into it is and they've told them that is Everton. Also, would Liverpool have to play any qualifying games or do they want to just go straight into it leapfrogging Man Utd and possibly forcing Arsenal to play a qualifying tie even though they finished 2nd?

All seems a bit complicated to me. Were the rules known at the beginning of the Competition?

Joanne,

It is all still up in the air. I see no problem in having a group that has us as one extra team, but other teams may baulk at having to play all the extra games. I see no reason not to allow the shadows (Everton) to continue to the competition as they deserve what they achieved.

I think that UEFA will allow us in but have to work the fairest way, after all they want us to compete in the World Club games to line their own pockets so they will have to give something in return.

Walk On
