Ok, I've only had my hotel reservations (for the Contemporary- SoG deal) for 4 days, but I already have a sketch of our "plan." Just am bursting with excitement and want to share. The main purpose of this trip is to spend time together as mother/daughter (me being the daughter- my Mom will be in Orlando for a conference & asked me if I wanted to meet her down there when the conference concluded- don't have to twist my arm!!), and see what we feel we missed on our trip last month. It is also the RARE opportunity I have some time to myself- I will be leaving the boys at home with Daddy. (Who very graciously offered to stay behind with the boys so we could have some girl time).

Friday 10/3- Arrive at 4:00. Check into Contemporary & head out to Downtown Disney. Eat at Rain Forest Cafe and shop!! Alternate plan if we're really tired- drive to the Beach Club and have dinner at Cape May Cafe.

Saturday 10/4- Epcot- See the new Space attraction (hopefully it'll be open by then!), TT, and whatever else strikes our fancy. Eat lunch in Japan, shop & see American Adventure. Head over to MGM around 4:30-5, go on the Great Movie Ride, grab an easy dinner (unless we stop at Beaches & Cream on the way there) & stake out a spot for Fantasmic around 6 or so (if the show is at 7). Head back to hotel.

Sunday 10/5- EE day at MK. Hit all our favorites, including Hall of Presidents which we missed last time. Shop. Soak up ambiance. I feel like I ran throught the castle last time in order to hit Dumbo before the crowds that I hardly glanced at the beautiful murals, etc. We were at the MK 4 different days in early March and we only walked through the castle once. Which leads me to our meal choice for the day- lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table. Sounds like fun! Stay at the MK all day and perhaps head over to the Wilderness Lodge for some grub at the Whispering Canyon. We loved this restaurant the last time- in fact, my parents went twice!

Monday- 10/6- EE at AK. Another day where we just felt like we ran through the park and didn't really see it. (It was a grumpy day all around unfortunately). We would like to hit the major attractions again, as well as wander around the paths, study the Tree of Life and just all the details that are everywhere at this park. We loved Kilimanjaro Safaris and plan on doing it at least once, if not twice. Definitely see Lion King again, and Kali Rapids. We're going to try do Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl and Tarzan as well. Dinner at either Cape May Cafe or Downtown Disney- whatever we didn't do the first night.

Tuesday- 10/7- EE at MGM- Definitely do ToT and RnRC at least once each, if not twice. See Great Movie Ride if we missed it the other night (it was closed when we were there last month), Backlot Tour, Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Beauty and the Beast are on our must do lists. (we saw Indy and Little Mermaid last time and aren't compelled to have to see them again). Oh, and definitely Walt Disney: one Man's Dream. I really wanted to see that, but I just didn't think my 5 year old and 1 1/2 year old would have been patient enough for it last month. Have lunch at 50's Prime Time and at some point head over to Epcot for dinner and Illuminations.

Wednesday- Depart back to the West Coast. Mom found a flight where we can be together from Orlando to Pheonix and then we have to get on our separate planes (me to Portland, her to San Jose).

Thanks for letting me share!!! Any other thoughts? If we could find a later flight (the above leaves at 11:30), we are considering hitting Typhoon Lagoon for 3 hours or so our last morning, or at least Downtown Disney. We still have 2 plus options each on our hoppers from earlier this month. :jester:

I think your plan sounds great!! I wish I could persuade my mother to go to WDW with me; unfortunately, she's 84 and although her health and physical condition are remarkable, she insists that she's too old to go "gallavanting" around the country!! :D

I would suggest an evening at the Adventurer's Club at PI (perhaps on Monday, 6 Oct) if you have not already visited there. This is loads of fun and this would be a great time since you'll be "childless". You don't have to stay out late to have a great time there! If you and your Mom enjoy humor, I'd highly recommend this. Kungaloosh!!

I would like to do the Adventurer's Club- the two times I've been to PI, we have walked in AC, but not stayed; the first time cause I was too tired & the last time it was boiling hot in there. I think we would both like it a lot & maybe we will try and hit PI! :)

Definately go to the Adventurer's Club! It's a blast.

I think your plans sound great! I am in the process of trying to convince my Mom to go with me in November. She won't fly and she won't be able to save up much, so I told her we can drive and camp at FW in a tent! Talk about a bonding experience. LOL.

I hope you and your Mom have a wonderful time. It sounds like a nice, relaxing trip.

Michelle
