The GH Official Thread Part 2

They're adding all these new nurses and a thought occurred to me. Where is Bobbie? It's like we just forgot her! It did they just write her off in the years I wasn't watching. No one ever mentions her, with the exception of Luke at the brothel a while back and even then, I think she was just referred to as "my sister".

Why are they doing this?!? Because Carly is nice now?

It's crazy. I hate it. They are writing her like she's 15. Its absolutely absurd. :rolleyes2:

ok... GH had really picked up the slack, better storylines, connection with history, quicker resolutions, HUMOR, then all of the sudden it seem things turned again.... hope they get back on track again real quick.
I still have this eerie feeling that TPTB are gearing up for a GH cancelation.. :(
While I would love, love.. love to see Alan, Aj,Emily, etc; but I really do not want a cockamamie scheme that has them all cooped up on some island ala DOOL. BTW... I believe if TPTB do this character upheaval.. that Little Jake will be among those characters ..have you noticed Liz has mentioned Jake sooo much lately?.

I do not mind the new characters.. geeky nurse and nasty lady Doc... but they came outta nowhere. They needed a little bit of a lead in to let viewers connect with them.
As for Steve Burton leaving. I will miss Jason.. but I bet Steve Burton is looking to stretch his acting legs. Jason has limited emotional range, but Burton has made the most of those limitations. ah those eyes.. those blue, blue eyes. :)

The women on Gh have always looked like they needed a sandwich... I agree Olivia looked emaciated at the shower. She is a teenie tiny woman tho.

since I am not usually a ranter.. but I am on a roll now...... ;) I would just like to get this off my chest...
I have to LOL when the gh hairstylist cuts all the men's hair the same way.. and right now.. most of the dark haired women have gone red.. seriously.. I swear the stylist had one huge bottle of haircolor and did lots of womens hair on the same day! oh.. and the botox party must have gotten crazy last weekend.. cause LuLu could not move her forehead-- she looked like she was being goosed during the entire shower scene... :rotfl2:

ah. I love GH.. really I do .. but you all know that..

I so agree with you, this is why I DVR now. I have three episodes to catch up on. Elizabeth and Lucky were magic together, she has grown so much as an actress since she first started. They seem to delight, however, in making her look needy and fragile. Maybe with Jason out of the picture she can finally stand on her own two feet. For Pete's sake, she's gotta be in her 30s, and is a nurse, does she not know what birth control is? Olivia is being written one note too, but has always, remember all the cousin love and Brooklyn accent? Lois revisited? Give her a break and let her finally check out of the hospital, she must have one HECK of a great insurance plan from the Metro Court!

Watching the present storylines on GH is very painful. Baby switches, and DNA tampering, dead people who really aren't dead, children showing up after years of not knowing. Haven't we been down all these roads before. Lulu and Dante want to become parents. That's not a safe route to take on a soap opera.

Todd Manning is hysterical, as is Heather, even if they both are "off their rockers".

I don't post often, but I cannot stand what they are having Elizabeth do and say! It is just ridiculous and in my opinion, not true to character. Way to completely ruin the relationship between Elizabeth and Jason before he leaves. Ugh!

I agree with the ruining of Elizabeth. I have no idea of what their thinking is. The story line is very drawn out the past week or so. I am wondering if this is because of story-lines that must be changed due to Jason leaving and wanting to pull a wake together for Edward and working on bringing back some old timers for the wake?

I can't stand the new Dr. that is going after Patrick, but do like the new nurdy nurse. I really think she would be a good sidekick for Spinelli. I think he and Maxi have outlived their couple usefulness and they both need to find someone different. I do like Todd and his quirks.

As I was channel surfing last night I came upon a 1962 episode of Bachelor Father. Those of you who are baby boomers will know this show. Anyway one of the guests stars was David Lewis, the original Edward Quartermain. It was so nice to see him as a young(er) man. I could really see the "Edward" in the character he was playing.

I still remember David Lewis as a heel of a philandering married man in "The Apartment" with Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine

It is paying on MeTV http://metvnetwork.com/

You can search on the website to see if it is showing in your area.

I really enjoy this station they have a lot of old late 1950/early 1960 shows. Dobbie Gillis, Donna Reed, Make Room for Daddy, My Three Sons, etc. Some of them are on odd hours but I DVR them and then watch them in the evening. Sad to say, there is not much on regular TV that I enjoy. I'm not into many of the reality shows.

OMG...*runs and hugs TahoeMom

I remember Jason and Liz from waaayy back in 1999 and I think a little before then I thought these two would be perfect for each other...But throughout GH they kept pairing Jason with other women (Brenda, Sam, Courtney *cringes*, or it was always Carly in the way. And it COMPLETELY hurt my heart to find out about Jake. It was like "Really GH writers why are you guys so opposed to trying this couple."

and I'm not gonna get many of this one but I loved Georgie/Dillion. I thought that they were a future supercouple. It didn't make sense that Diego would kill her thinking that it was Maxie...Don't buy it..And Diego loved Georgie in his own twisted way. But there went that...

And it irks my nerves when they can bring character of the past but it's always a new person that we never knew about, but then they destroyed the whole Quartermain, Scorpio, Webber, a whole generation of families....Irritating.

Week of October 1st

**10/1 Trey decides to tell Kristina the whole truth about his parents.
The guests gather for Sonny and Kate's wedding aboard The Haunted Star.
Carly agrees to be Johnny's date for the wedding.
Trey decides to tell Kristina about his parents.

10/2 Sam and John explore their growing feelings; they give into temptation.
Liz reveals her secret to Jason. :rolleyes2
Sonny and Kate's wedding day.

10/3 McBain and Jason are in the tricky position of agreeing on how to handle a major turn of events.
Trey walks into a terrible situation.
Tracy tells Monica how she is having problems moving on from Joe.
After the wedding blow-up, Johnny has some explaining to do.

10/4 Jason can't reach Sonny.
John McBain arrives on Tea doorstep to talk about ''her '' son.
Someone is shot!
Jason might not have the chance to tell Sam what he knows.

10/5 With Heather still loose, Olivia finds herself wishing she could do something to help.
Carly takes her anger out on Todd.
Johnny's actions may catch up with him.

Jason and Sam's love story seems to get more complicated with every passing minute. :crazy2:

John gets a letter from Natalie and Sam tells him that she and Jason are divorcing. The two console each other and give into their growing feelings.

After letting Sam believe that she and Jason are still together, Elizabeth goes to pick up Jason for the wedding. He tells her about the divorce papers and how sad he is that he couldn’t give Sam her baby back.

Elizabeth is increasingly guilt ridden and finally makes a confession to Jason.
Ron Carivati explains in SOD, "There are major developments with the baby storyline this week" and they are set in motion by Elizabeth's regret over getting all sneaky and switching the DNA test results in her quest to win Jason. Elizabeth's conscience has been weighing on her over the actions she took to try to prevent a reunion between Sam and Jason. So she takes action to make things right...Usually these things go on for a little while longer, but our reasons were twofold. One, we wanted to move the story forward, and secondly, I wanted Liz to make things right. It was an impulsive decision, something she did in the moment that she pretty much instantly regretted. We wanted her to rectify her mistake as soon as possible and accelerate the discovery of the baby [being Sam's son] this week is a huge turning point, and then its full steam ahead toward resolution."

Jason instantly calls McBain and the two need to work together. But when John goes to see Tea about her baby, she discovers that Victor, Jr. is missing!

Sonny may not be thrilled with the location of the wedding but Maurice Benard says in SID, "Ultimately, its whatever she wants, but he would want a big wedding. In a way, maybe he feels that it's nice that she doesn't want that." Meanwhile Sonny decides to put off telling Kate that he now knows that she's Trey's mother. He decides they'll deal with the ramifications later.

As things get underway, Sonny is, "very up, very happy. A little nervous about security, but he's feeling good that he's going to marry the woman that he loves." Dante has agreed to be his best man. Benard continues, "There's nothing out of the ordinary before the wedding starts. Kate comes down the aisle, and everything is normal. It's a little eerie, though. And man, when the wedding starts, it's a free-for all!"

Lots of folks in attendance could take advantage of that familiar objection clause. There is Maxie, who thinks Kate has been acting witchier than usual, Max and Milo, who can't forget the would-be bride's frisky moves with Milo in the backroom of the Floating Rib, and then there is Johnny, who is looking extremely tense. It is no wonder. It turns out Sonny is not the only one who has been keeping a secret or two. When the bride reveals her and Johnny's secret, lives are upended and romances are shattered. Benard, "It's intense...I can't wait to see it!"

Carly and Johnny attend the wedding together, but Johnny slips way before the ceremony begins.

When the priest asks for reasons why the two should not be joined, several people have objections and someone wonders if there’s more to the moment she witnessed between Kate and Johnny.

Also coming...

Carly melts down in front of Todd. He picks up the pieces.

Starr is disillusioned by Johnny.

Sonny tells Kate he needs to tell her something after they wed. (He plans to tell her Trey is her son.)

Several people are against Sonny and Kate’s marriage.

Maxie is hurt when Spin shows up at the wedding with a date.

Sam and McBain find themselves in a heated and passionate moment.

Tea opens the door to John.

Victor, Jr. is missing.

Alexis and Trey are concerned when they learn Kristina never made it to the wedding.

Tracy confides to Monica that she wasn’t able to resist Joe Jr.
Monica finds Tracy with Joe’s medal and she insists she’d planned on giving it back, but one thing led to another. Tracy must decide if she wants to help Joe before the police arrive.

Steve learns the truth about his mother.
Steve apologizes to Olivia for not believing her.
They both realize her hallucinations are more like premonitions. She wishes she could use them to help find Heather.

Heather feels cornered.

Duke makes his intentions clear.

Regarding the wedding, "This was a script I couldn't wait to get!" enthuses Kelly Sullivan in SOD.

There is a shooting.

Liz makes a shocking confession.

Tea gets a surprise visitor.

Will Sam and McBain give into their feelings?

GHH Continued

Week of October 8

Duke returns! And he makes it plain what he is after.

10/9 Sam still remains oblivious to the truth, but Jason has news for her that she might need to to hear sitting down.
Somene Anna never though she's see again puts in an appearance (Duke).

10/10 McBain so wants Todd to get his just desserts for all the pain he's caused, but he realizes that might not be as easy to pull off as it sounds.
Maxie frets about Spinelli, and confides in Lulu. Will the two put their heads together to deal with the "problem"?
Having returned from his pursuit of Robert, Luke finds himself in the position of wanting the same things as Duke.

10/11 Olivia has another rattling hallucination. Will this one, like several before, prove to be a glimpse into the future?
Jason and Sam find themselves staring danger in the face.
Todd realizes that the time may have come to fill Tea in on the whole shocking truth about the night she gave birth! Will he cave?

10/12 All bets are off when the walls close in on Heather ,who makea a move that could have deadly consequences. who will wind up paying for her actions?
Luke finds himself having a relationship-themed pity party with Tracy, who is having a few issues of her own with Joe.
Duke makes it clear what he wants, but how far is he willing to go?

Ron Carlivati in SID says, "Anna's a compassionate person," but that doesn't mean she will forget what Luke did concerning sending Robert off on a wild goose-chase. "We saw a little bit of her reaction when she first found out. She can understand on an intellectual level why he thought this was the right move. But she's still hurt because she's been lied to. She understands his motives, but not necessarily his tactics." Luke, "comes back thinking he's going to win this woman over, but we, of course, throw a wild card into the mix. [Duke]

Heather is on a rampage and holds several lives in her hands this week.

The baby Todd put in Tea's arms may soon be ripped out of them!
Will Todd confess everything?

Previews for the week of 01-Oct-2012
by Carol Banks Weber

**Maxie seethes with jealousy at Spinelli with Ellie by his side for Sonny’s wedding.
Sonny and his sons, Dante and Michael, enjoy some family time before everything gets crazy to put it mildly.
Unable to talk to Sonny, Jason figures his boss is preoccupied with marriage stuff before the nuptials.
Sonny makes sure his bodyguards, Max and Milo, look out for Joe Jr., aka trouble.
Sonny has every intention of filling Kate in on what he knows about Joe Jr.’s and her parental connection to Trey.
But first, Sonny ascertains whether Kate’s already in-the-know. She doesn’t seem to be. So he prepares to be the one to drop that bombshell following their (doomed) nuptials.

Steve says he’s sorry to Olivia. It finally occurs to Steve and Olivia that she’s not having residual LSD trips, but psychic moments. If only she could harness her newfound psychic power to lead authorities to Heather.

Carly takes Johnny as her date to Sonny and Kate’s wedding. Baaaad move.
Before Carly can say, Johnny’s a jerk, her date takes off on her—and the wedding ceremony hasn’t even gotten off the ground.
At the infamous wedding question during the ceremony—the forever hold your peace part—there is a line of haters piping up.
Lulu dreads what may transpire, especially when she catches looks between Johnny and Kate.
Johnny’s next move—with “Kate”—kicks Carly in the stomach. She really doesn’t know this man at all.
Starr feels stabbed in the back by Johnny’s devastating deed.
Blindsided and screwed over, Carly reels from Johnny’s betrayal.
Todd could swoop right on in as the best thing to happen to Carly. He does.
It’s in great part due to Todd that Carly stays put.
Carly leans on Todd, as he listens while she unloads, emotionally bereft.

OLTL’s Natalie sends John McBain a letter that furthers the divide.
McBain pays an impromptu visit to Sam, who’s at the lake house, missing out on all the wedding fun.
For the purposes of an eventual hook-up, the plot device has to have Sam deciding to bail on Sonny and Kate’s wedding because she simply doesn’t feel like she’ll have fun there.
Sam makes it clear to McBain that she’s free, in an indirect way: bringing up confirmation of her divorce from Jason.
On the auspices of bucking each other up as pals, Sam and McBain have relations—as lovers.

Elizabeth doesn’t correct Sam’s assumption that it’s Liason time. Meaning, Liz lies that she and Jason are girlfriend/boyfriend still.
Elizabeth gets Jason to go to Sonny and Kate’s wedding, with her. She goes to pick him up when a preoccupied Jason continues to pine, bringing up his divorce decree served by Sam.
Jason beats himself up further for failing to be Sam’s hero when it turned out that baby of Téa’s wasn’t a switch after all. At this, the knife of remorse sinks and twists harder in Elizabeth.
Elizabeth realizes she has a conscience when witnessing Jason’s pain. It’s too much to bear.
Jason even displays his divorce document for Elizabeth, to illustrate his torment.
Elizabeth is no villainess. She can’t take the guilt and spills her guts about the DNA tampering, to facilitate the reunion of Sam and her baby boy.
Jason’s on the phone to McBain in a flash, stating the urgency of their quest.
Jason and McBain act fast to save Sam’s boy, but Heather is a wild animal liable to do almost anything.
Jason does not want to let Sam know about her baby still being alive just yet, until he is farther along in the quest.
McBain visits OLTL’s Llanview, Téa specifically. It’s going to be a hard revelation for her.
McBain’s with Téa, broaching the subject, when she reports with a panic that her baby’s gone and so is her nanny Susan Moore. Heather!

A gun goes off, hitting one particular character.

Before Jason has even a chance to make Sam’s day, he finds out that baby Victor’s been Shanghai’d.
Heather takes off with baby Victor, meaning to make themselves scarce for good.

Johnny must face the music and start talking, following the wedding from hell that blew up on everyone.

Trey gets ready to give Kristina full disclosure on his sorry lineage.
Trey and Alexis freak out because Kristina didn’t show up for Sonny’s wedding to Kate.
Trey is in a bad, bad way.
Trey immediately goes mentally to his dad as having victimized Kristina, and goes after Joe Jr.
Trey busts Joe Jr. in the middle of a… kidnapping? It’s dire.
Joe monologues about his justification for doing what he did, to exact retribution on Sonny so that Trey can be free and have what’s coming to him.
Monica comes across a pensive Tracy holding Joe’s medallion.
At first, Tracy remarks that she wanted to return the medallion to Joe Jr. as soon as she can. But then he looked at her that way.
Tracy admits to Monica that she’s got it bad for Joseph, despite the truth coming out about him.
Just how bad? Bad enough to be an active accessory when the cops close in on Joe Jr.
Joe Jr. reaches out to Tracy to lift him out of this jam.

Next week: Jason and Sam team up to defeat Heather once and for all, as good triumphs over evil and true love conquers all… :crazy2: Before they do, though, everyone’s in danger with Heather on the loose… Once caught, everything bad Heather ever did is put out in the bright light of truth… John McBain guns for Todd Manning in the worst way, because of his role in this baby-switching drama… Todd is there for Carly the way Johnny never could be… Vacation’s over, Luke. Like a bad penny, he resurfaces back in Port Charles—to be Tracy’s rock. They are each other’s buttresses… Duke Lavery, the presumed DEAD Duke Lavery, presents himself as very much alive and in need of something special.

Gossip for the week of 01-Oct-2012
by Carol Banks Weber

**Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda) tweeted last week that she was “shooting today.” That’s it. If this means Brenda’s back, she could be back to exit Sonny as insiders have rumored for weeks to months now. Bye, bye GH. Hello, OLTL.

On September 27, head writer Ron Carlivati :crazy2: had had enough of the pro-Elizabeth criticism on his timeline and went defensively sarcastic on everybody’s *****, insisting that what he was doing to the character wasn’t any sort of assassination but a strange kind of sense. Lord Carlivati even equated Elizabeth’s cheating on Lucky with the likelihood that she’d switch DNA results on Sam. WTH? Here are some of his replies: “Show me a soap character who hasn't done something bad at one time or another… Why is it that when Todd Manning switches someone's baby or tries to smother Johnny I'm not accused of throwing him under the bus?... All I'm saying is that soap characters sometimes make mistakes and do bad things, just like real people.” Well, isn’t that special. Btw, Todd Manning led a gang rape on Marty on OLTL. That kind of makes the issue moot. But then, silly me, I actually try to follow character history and believe in character integrity. Try it sometime.

Several weeks ago, a Daytime Dish insider dropped a spumor about Patrick finding himself smitten with a nanny similar to Robin. This nanny was supposedly connected in more ways than superficial to Robin. It looks like Sabrina’s that nanny. Additionally, she could be related to Duke Lavery and doing his bidding as a spy, watching out for Patrick and Emma. A GH fan named Michele on Twitter suggested that maybe Sabrina was Anna’s other daughter, strictly by the family resemblance. Ding! Ding!

When Jason finds out Todd’s role in the baby switch, he gets quite physically out of control. After Jason victimizes Todd, viciously, Carly comes along to nurse the gang rapist back to health. Carly and Todd will grow closer, leaving Johnny out in the cold, permanently.

Jason must go AWOL, on purpose and according to plan (his, McBain’s, Spinelli’s?). It’s not in a body bag and it’s not as a kidnapping victim. When Jason goes, A.J. comes back to figure heavily in Michael’s story and perhaps find common ground with former bad girl-turned-rape survivor Elizabeth  Jason’s dramatic disappearance catches Sam off-guard, leveling her, and triggering her P.I. impulses. Sam clings to her newfound baby boy even more. :crazy2:

I am irate over how they are writing Elizabeth :furious: Ok, so you aren't going to bring Liason back, I get it, but to write her like this is terrible. Liz would never hurt Jason intentionally and to write her doing this is just stupid plus she lost a child. I can't imagine her keeping a mother from her baby, even if it is Sam.

:crazy2: :crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:

Where's that puking smilie when I need it?

I can't even write down what I think of how this show has turned since SB announced he left. It's STU. PID.
