I'm looking into restaurants (I understand my trip is agessss off, but I'm just seeing which ones look good!) and I've come across the Garden Grill at Epcot. I've never eaten here before and would be interested in doing so? Possibly the character dining to allow us to meet Chip & Dale.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this restaurant and opinions would be welcome!? :)

Thanks

The Garden Grill is one of our favorite character meals. We have been there 3 times for lunch, which sadly they don't do anymore (the dinner is the same menu only higher priced). The food is really yummy and the character interaction was great everytime. It is a great place to meet Chip and Dale!

We love the Garden Grill. Have probably gone 5 or 6 times - always great food. We always make a reservation right when they open, around 4:30. We've found that we get tons of attention from the characters since the restaurant isn't full yet. They usually come around 2 to 3 times each. Mickey has played tic tac toe with my son and Chip/Dale have colored with him every time we've gone. He loves it!

We eat at Garden Grill every trip! Food is good, atmosphere is relaxing, and character interaction is great!!:cool1:

our family *loves* the garden grill... one of the best character meals on property in our opinions... fabulous character interaction minus the craziness of other places... the food is A+ too!!

It's one of our favorites. Great character interaction and the food is good. Couldn't get an ADR for our up coming trip!! Enjoy!!

I am glad to hear all the good reviews on Garden Grill. We want to make ADRs for our upcoming trip in December. My oldest DD is a HUGE fan of the 2 chipmunks and is always disappointed that she can't get to meet them face to face. Hopefully I can get an ADR and if I do, I think I will make it a surprise to her.

Thanks for the reviews everyone - sounds like it's one for me to try and get a reservation for! We ALL love Chip and Dale, so I'm sure this would become one of our favourites too!

I'll pop it onto my list right now!

Do they do a breakfast here, or just dinner?

Thanks for the help! :)

I liked it.
My husband loved it because they have what we call "real sweet tea". (southern sweet tea) The characters were great and stopped by several times and sat with us. We also got several free cups of tea to go!!!

Sorry to be the bummer here, but I had a bad experience at the Garden Grill last time we went to WDW. Maybe it was just a fluke.
We visited 11/07 with our 3 1/2 year old daughter. This was her first trip to WDW and, like all parents, had expectations of every second being perfect.
The Garden Grill was our least favorite sit down. The food was just ok (compared to others we had went to), we had to wait over 45 minutes even with an ADR (the longest wait on the trip), and 45 minutes into our one hour meal (we're slow eaters) Mickey was the sole character to visit us. At minute 45, I decided to find my spine and ask our server to get another character or two to come visit us. We waited for another 15 minutes to no avail, and decided to leave.
We have no plans to go back to that restaurant anytime in the near futue.
Like I said, it was probably just a fluke.

We love the food and the interaction has been great. BUT we have been 2 or 3 times (can't remember) and the service was not good. Hardly ever saw our server. We are giving it another try in Oct.

I've eaten there one and had a good experience. The food was good and I had a good character experience. The nice thing about the restaurant is, like 'Ohana breakfast, the characters are dressed in a theme. They are dressed like farmers so you get a unique experience and pictures you can't get anywhere else.

The menu at one point was a bit limited so make sure to check them out at wdwinfo and allears to make sure they offer something you all like.

I know I'm out-numbered, but we had a bad experience two years in row.

Funny thing is, it was the exact same experience...both years!

We didn't get seated until 45 minutes after our ADR; and that was with 8p.m. reservations!

Once we did get seated, every time we asked our server for something (like drink refills. had to ask, they were never offered), we felt like we were putting him out.

The first time it happened we wrote if off as a bad night, can happen to anyone.

The second time it happened, this past June, we decided we're done. We can see the same characters somewhere else.

Just our experiece, though. I'm glad this hasn't happened to too many other people.

Have a happy trip!

Again, thanks everyone for the reviews. I like to see both the good and bad ones, helps bring expectations down a little and then there's not too much disappointment if we have a bad experience also.

I'll be sure to check out the menu nearer to our time of the trip and see if there's anything on there which will not agree with any of us :thumbsup2
