The funniest thing you have seen at US/IOA?

This year we were at HHN. Now my DH likes all the horror movies, and I'm a big chicken....

We were in the Drive In maze or whatever it was called for the second time that night.

There was my BIL, then my DH, then me...... and as we were going through the room with all the hanging mattresses, my DH suddenly veered off to one side!

(I, meanwhile, let go of his T shirt and grabbed my BIL's.)

Seconds later he staggered out from behind the mattresses to the right, very shaken after a backstage encounter with a knife wielding maniac. I think it might have been Freddy, but he said it was very dark! I still have no idea why he decided to take an alternative route.

There was that, and him nearly falling over in Jurassic Park when being chased by a chainsaw person.

I haven't laughed so much in ages!!

How funny!!

Here's from my latest trip:

Ghostbusters Show: The Ghostbusters come in and look for "the ghost" (Beetlejuice). While looking around, one of the guys let out this loud belch which was a LOT louder due to the microphones they had to wear! My mom and I were cracking up so hard (as were the Ghostbusters themselves...who tried hard to keep a straight face). Nobody knew why this was funny (may have just assumed it was Beetlejuice, or just didn't find it funny). I guess maybe we were overtired which made it even funnier...but...I guess when things catch you off-guard, it makes things a lot more interesting! :p :p

Ghostbusters Show: GIO2 was there performing and one of the feathers from the boa he uses towards the end of the show flew off and stuck to his face. It was funny watching him continue with the show without noticing it at all. I, of course, took pictures of it. :p

Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue Meet and Greet: Wolfman, along with other characters from the BJGYR, were having a meet and greet. Many kids went to Wolfman to get their picture taken with him. The parents would tell the kids to say "cheese" and of course, Wolfman does it too. One time, his timing was off and the parents took another picture. This time, the kid had a delayed "cheese." From then on, Wolfman kept saying "cheese" over and over and over until the picture was taken. I was to the side watching it and found it a bit funny. Not side-splitting funny, but a cute funny. My mom videotaped it.

Ghostbusters Mic Check: As mentioned in the trip report: Beetlejuice kept telling people to leave since there wasn't a show going on. "You're starnig at me, checking my mic." He then turns around and bends over. "Now, you're staring at my butt. You spend $50 to get in here and you're staring at my butt."

Other things too, but I can't remember them right now.

One drizzly afternoon I put on a poncho and my Dudley Dooright wide brimmed mountie hat and my son and I got on Bluto's barge. When we got on there was 2 ten year old boys already on and the attendant let them go again because no one was in line. One of the boys had a cast on his arm that was wrapped in plastic but they were already soaked to the bone. Our raft was handicap accessible which meant there was no center console and no place to put your feet up. The hat saved me from the the deluges and the overhead attacks from Me Ship. They let us ride without getting out of the raft about 5 times. The last time was getting a little boring so to serve as an adult example I took off my seat belt, crouched in the middle and surfed. All of a sudden the raft stopped and I went rolling to the other side. The boys laughed until they wet themselves further. I got up and scurried back to my seat and buckled up. I found the camera and gave them a thumbs up and the raft started moving again.

It's not Universal but it's still funny.

In 2001 we were at the Epcot food and wine festival. We queued at the Japan stall, my BIL placed his order and paid ..... and then he picked up the cling-wrapped display model and walked off.

The girl behind the counter just gestured speechlessly after him, and we were laughing at him too much to explain why we were laughing.

Needless to say he has never been allowed to forget it!

LOL!

My dad went to IOA during out 4-day trip. He went FOTL and ended up sharing a boat with two young boys. Well, they went on and at the very end the kids were so excited, "Wow! That was even wetter than Jurassic Park! Let's do that again!!!!!!!" Then they turn to my dad and say, "You coming?!?"

:rotfl:

Now I know why your kids do the things they do!!!
I wonder why my kids do similar things:angel:

Flyfly, that is too cute! I bet they had fun riding with your Dad and wanted him to go again!

edie w,
That is very funny! He didnt eat it I guess? :)

Fly fly - how sweet! It's like when little children call their teacher "Mum" by mistake!

No, my BIL didn't eat his display food - thank goodness! It was some sort of seafood and rice, and must have been at 80F for hours. Eugh!

Be prepared to be videotaped!

I hope FFE's dad doesn't blend in with the monkeys. :)

I will have to leave around 2 or 3 pm, but I think we can see everything by then.

LOL Barry :p we used to always tease my dad about being a monkey when I was little.
