Anyone have any recent stays at this place? Any pics or reviews would be greatly appreicaited! Thanks and God Bless!

Just wanted to say hi kylovebug, we are booked to stay here in August...all info and advice would be very much appreicated.

It is a very nice resort. We have stayed there more than once during our trips to Orlando. If visiting Disney, you are less than 10 minutes from Disney grounds, and no more than 20 minutes from the furthest Disney park.

The swimming areas are very nice, but the hours are not real long for the pools. The onsite food offerings weren't the best, but are OK in a pinch. There are activities for the kids, small waterslides, fishing, rental boats, etc.

There is a Publix and Walgreen within a 1/2 mile, along with a 7-11 and McDonalds around the corner.

The rooms are spacey, clean and well decorated.

We have a room reserved there later this summer.

There are some relatively recent reviews on this thread if you scan down:

The Bluegreen website has pictures and room plans and a map of the resort, if you're into that.

I can't say as to the accuracy of the room pictures, since we were in one of the older buildings that aren't there, but the pictures of the resort itself are accurate. It's in a pretty area and is a pretty resort, IMHO. The only surprise was that the "quiet" pool was the noisy one when we were there, I suspect because the big pool is not heated and Floridians there for the weekend found it rather cool. My kids thought it was fine. :)

Most of the units are the first floor plan that comes up; the "2 BR Deluxe" and "2 BR standard" are in the 2 older buildings and there aren't as many of them. The Presidential units are all in building 10, I believe (most of the stuff labeled "future development" on the map is done).

There's a video I think I saw on TripAdvisor somewhere that's nice and has some views inside the clubhouse; there are pics people took on TripAdvisor as well.

I actually just got back on Sunday from a quick weekend trip. I'm not sure what ages you have in your family, but we had 2 moms, each with a 2 year old. Some quick thoughts:

- Room is HUGE compared to a standard hotel space. Both bedrooms were large and the "smaller" of the two was blocked off by both a bedroom door and a suite door. So if you have a light sleeper, it's best to put them in there.

- Full kitchen, dining room and living room. The chairs weren't high enough for our toddlers, so we had to use pillows to get them high enough to eat at the table.

- Kitchen included a few packs of laundry detergent, dish soap and dish detergent. There was no salt and pepper or any basics as far as food went (which I expected). All dishes are glass - no plastic cups or plates.

- Bathrooms included a small (!) bottle of shampoo and a small bar of soap.

- There is a full sound system and DVD set up in the room.

- Our favorite was the screened in balcony with a ceiling fan. We left the door open to the room so the kids had more space to roam. We ate most of our meals out here.

- The only real frustration I had was the door handles - every handle in the place was lever-style, so the kids could open ANY of the doors, meaning they could get into the bedrooms AND they could get out of the room with no issue. There was no way to lock the door out of the room (the lock was turned "off" once the lever was pulled) and that was terrifying. We ended up putting one of the heavy chairs in front of the door.

- The pool was very nice and large. They play music throughout the day. The childrens area is full of fountains and squirting water. There is not a "baby" pool of any sort, unless they want to sit within the fountains.

If you have other questions, let me know. Thanks!
