Just a heads up for those planning a trip to WDW. The flu is here in central Florida, and cases are climbing. Please take all the precautions that you can. They expect the numbers to climb quickly. Be careful what you touch, and keep your hands clean. I don't mean to panic anyone, just want everybody to be careful. Just a heads up.

When we where there in Disney last April we where in Disney when the news broke. We where so into disney we did not even watched the news until a gal on sorin was wiping off the handles with lysol wipes. She offered to wipe my handle off and said dont you know there is a killer flu discovered in Mexico. Sure enough I was all over the news. Little story for you!
Now fast foward two weeks ago we were in Branson. My mother and myself both got this flu half way through our trip, wife got it a few days later. Not fun so one of my trips where ruined NOW keeping my fingers crossed I have a better imunity to this sucker for our Dec Flordia trip.

The flu is everywhere now. It isn't just in Florida.

A local high school closed completely because so many of the students and teachers were out sick.

Doconeill - Noticed you live in Mass. I'm in RI. I heard about that school. I don't think mine is far behind. There were about 5 kids out in every one of my classes yesterday and a lot of teachers are out :scared1:

The HS in my hometown in Illinois was closed 2 days last week with 120 out of 500 kids out-90 confirmed with flu symptoms. Other schools in the area had similar problem.
The store I work for here in Florida has even changed our sick day policy for this year only. They are urging anyone sick with flu symptoms to stay home and have given us 5 sick days without pay if we need them in addition to the regular amount they give us.
I think people are starting to think about this one a little differently than they looked at it last Spring.

I have been in and out of doctor's offices the last few weeks preparing for surgery next week.

Every one of them have notices posted about special proceedures this year for patients with flu-like symptoms.
