I live in Harrisburg, PA and we got flooded really badly. Not me, personally, but some areas that are nearby. Our major river, the Susquehanna River (which is about 10 miles from my house) is overflowing into the city. Flood stage is 17 feet, I think, and it's at 22 or 23 feet now and expected to crest at about 25 feet. Because of the flooding, some people had to leave their homes and the power has been shut off in the flooded areas.
Where I live, we don't have any water right now because the water plant has shut down (the plant is flooded!).

They're telling us we won't have water until the flood waters recede (which they are estimating will be Tuesday morning at the earliest!)

So we can't shower, brush teeth, wash hands, or drink water because when you turn on the faucet, nothing comes out! It really sucks, but I guess we'll all survive for a couple days. Schools will probably be closed until the water comes back on

. Maybe I won't have to go to work, either! That would be nice

I know my school is probably flooded because it's very close to the river.
I hope anyone else who is dealing with flooding and other weather-related problems is doing okay. I feel guilty complaining about my situation knowing that some people have had to evacuate their homes or have even had their houses destroyed. My prayers go out to everyone affected by Ivan.
