*ThE FiVe LeGgEd GoAt VaCaTiOn GIRLS ONLY TRIP! *8/27*THE END*

Sounds like the party is about to get a whole lot better:cool1:

What is it about people cutting the lines:confused3It always blows my mind when we`re there and see that happen....at least we know we raised our children properly, right Dawn:love:

Yes it is! :woohoo:

I have no idea why some folks are so rude! When the boys jumped in front of us I didn't get upset. I just figured they were young and excited. What got me was the rudeness of the adults in their group. I agree that our girls know better!

How could you leave us wondering like that?! I'm sorry about your bad time at the party, and the gross veggie wrap. Atleast the Dole Whip was there to fix the problem ;) I'm super excited to read about who you saw, keep the updates coming!:goodvibes

A Dole Whip can fix just about anything can't it? :rotfl: I plan to post the rest of the party tomorrow :)

Aw I'm sorry that the D23 dinner was a bummer. But at least it seems like things are about to take a turn for the better...

I love the Toontown pics. They put so much detail into those houses. It's going to be sad when they aren't there anymore. I'll definitely have to walk through one last time in July.

And Caitlin's right...that veggie wrap does look pretty gross.

Thank you and they are going to get better :thumbsup2

Hope you enjoy your last tour of Mickey and Minnie's houses!

Okay, read through your entire TR (laundry can wait, right? :rotfl:) and I have to say it sounds like you had a GREAT time so far! Sorry to hear about grandma and the ECV. My in-laws invited themselves on our trip this December and I told my DH NO WAY. :rolleyes1 My FIL is 83 and my MIL is 72. Neither one would ever ever ever ride and EVC and I could just see it now. :lmao::lmao: MIL decided it might be a little too fast paced for them so they backed out and now I'm planning something a little more their speed when they come down to GA to visit us.

Now, WHO DID YOU MEET? You guys are so good at cliff hangers! Sorry the D23 party turned out to be a bummer so far in this report. I hope it gets better!

Hi! Thanks for joining us and playing catch up! :goodvibes

We did have a great time! We are Disney-addicts and it never gets old and it never gets boring! :)

It is a challenge to go with people who don't move at your pace. We thought the ecv would fix that but it was still a problem. Going ecv-less with the inlaws would have been tough!

The party did get better :woohoo:

That was an evil way to end a segment.
I like it! :thumbsup2

Sorry the D23 party started off on the wrong foot but I'm glad you got in some fun rides at least.
Isn't Jungle Cruise at night awesome!?!?
I always want to ride it twice now - once during the day and once at night!
It's just so different and so much fun!!

:lmao: Thanks Mike, I think. :)

The jungle cruise is like a completely different ride after dark! I agree riding twice is awesome!

I don't know why the party wasn't better. From what I've read about the Christmas celebration or the recent Flowers and Fireworks party ours seems to have paled in comparison.

I hope Toon Town is still there for you to visit one last time. It's always fun for the kids (and us big kids too :goodvibes)

Thank you. If I were taller or had shorter people in front of me they could have been better

When we got outside the door our attitudes changes completely and the magic was PRICELESS! :goodvibes

Thank You Dawn & Your Welcome :goodvibes

Can't wait to see all the :wizard: coming up popcorn::popcorn:: Glad to hear that things took a turn for the better !

YAY for updates!

Those pics of Fireworks are GORGEOUS! :wizard:

Why must people push through? and then lie about it? Like they aren't going to get on? :sad2: I'm trying to not get my hackles up when that happens and just feel sorry for them. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't.

I tried to find you guys for the Philharmagic too, but my goodness, there was ALOT of people. And I had my own drama story about that. Coming to my TR soon.

I was not unhappy with the party so far....just.....underwhelmed. For the amount, they were charging....and it was Disney.....and it was Alice's opening day.....one just expected.....magic & specialness.

We were certainly rushed out of the dinner! Literally, they were clearing the plates around us. :rotfl: Definitly not a magical moment.

Before I start this entry I am going to share a little of our family's Disney history with you. (please bear with me) Caitlin's first love in Disney movies was 101 Dalmatians or as she called it at 1.5 yrs "the puppy Dalmatian movie". She watched it everytime she went to her grandpa's house and was even a Dalmatian puppy her 2nd Halloween. The first movie she ever saw in a theater was "Beauty and the Beast". She was about 20months old and even though she didn't make it all the way through she loved it. When it came out on video, grandma bought it and she'd watch it everytime she went to her house. For Christmas that year, just after her 2nd birthday, she got every Beauty and the Beast toy they made. The "Barbie" type dolls, the plastic figurines and even the really cool mirror that talked when you said "show me the Beast". She absolutely loved that movie! Except in her version, Belle ended up with Beast or Gaston :confused3 She was not a fan of the Prince and in her 2yr old mind Beast and Gaston were more suitable for Belle  Flash forward to her senior prom and guess what her dress looked like? Yep! She wore a big gold gown with an updo and looked like Belle.

Now that our flashback is over it's time to return to March 2010 and find out just who was outside that door....

The Philharmagic doors opened and Caitlin was the first one out. When I stepped outside the first thing I noticed was that Fantasyland was empty! The lights were on, the rides were working and no one was there! The next thing I knew I had Caitlin squeal "LOOK". Right outside the door was the Leader of the Club! Caitlin was the first party guest to have her picture taken with
momsdispics214.jpg

Club Leader Mickey! Doesn't he look adorable in his uniform?!

After the picture we started walking towards Cinderella's carrousel when all of a sudden Caitlin screamed (yes this girl is excitable :rotfl:) and took off running! It took me a second to realize what had grabbed her attention. Then I realized she was heading toward a character she had ALWAYS wanted to meet but who NEVER, EVER does meet and greets! Who did she see? Who elicited such a response? Why none other than this guy....

momsdispics215.jpg

Yep the man Belle should have chosen :rotfl2: Caitlin was so excited! Just look at her face. You can tell she is super excited!

momsdispics216.jpg

While she talked to Gaston and got autographs

momsdispics219.jpg

I told the CM that Caitlin had always thought Belle should have chosen him. The CM told me I had to tell Gaston that so when I joined them for a pic I told him and he said "See Belle. I told you". Oh yeah, I guess I forgot to mention she was there too :rotfl: Belle replied that she felt left out and maybe she should leave. I told her that she was Caitlin's "favorite princess" and of course we were happy to see her too!

momsdispics217.jpg

*It was so cold and we were so excited I completely forgot I was wrapped in a blanket and should have set it down for the picture:rolleyes:

So this meeting alone was priceless and totally justified the price of admission. It was worth any amount of money to see my almost 20year old college honor student daughter turn into a little girl and meet a character she'd loved since she was 2:goodvibes

We found grandma after our encounter with Gaston and Belle and we all grabbed some desserts and ate more than our share! I am not usually a chocolate person but they had a chocolate ganche cake that was FABULOUS! There was also a yummy apple bread pudding with sauce along with many, many other selections! There was also a filled icecream cart that you could help yourself to. We did have icecream even though it was cold outside! Lastly the buffet had drink stations which offered coffee and cocoa.

momsdispics227.jpg

When we finished eating we saw some other characters coming out. The next 2 we met were a little puppet boy and his conscience.

momsdispics224.jpg

They loved Caitlin's purse and looked all over it trying to find themselves

momsdispics226.jpg

We then noticed Lady Tremaine and her lovely daughters Anastasia and Drizella were out and welcoming guests in their own way.
momsdispics222.jpg

After visiting with all the characters we decided to take advantage of some of the open rides. We first rode Snow White and then WALKED ON Peter Pan! :yay: It was so strange seeing an empty queue at PPan!

After the rides we ran back into Michele and talked a bit. Around 10:40 (the party was to end at 11) we all decided to leave and began heading out of Fantasyland. We stopped near the castle and picked up our "gift". It was a VERY large Mickey pin.

We cut through the castle and admired the mosaic
momsdispics229.jpg

The castle looks so beautiful at night!
momsdispics231.jpg

We got a picture with our new friend
momsdispics232.jpg

And then we took a 3 generation picture
momsdispics234.jpg

Then we headed out of the park. We had to take the monorail to the TTC and then take a bus to DTD and then another from DTD to Pop. It was around midnight by the time we got back from our magical evening.

We were all beat by the time our heads hit the pillow but Caitlin had to be back up at 5am to do the Princess and The Frog 5K in the morning at Epcot.
Hope you come back to hear all about the race and Caitlin's 1hour bus ride afterward!

Thank you Michele!
We tried to be cool about the boys cutting right up until the parents blamed us and then started glaring :sad2:

In retrospect we would have been much better off eating lunch and then we wouldn't have been so hungry and might have been more ok with the meal. Caitlin was just so sure that some special guest was going to come out she was really disappointed when it didn't happen!

I totally forgot to mention how they practically chased us out of there :rotfl2:
