Hi Queen! Thanks for checking in! Sorry to hear you're having bad weather! We've had beautiful sunny skies and warm temps. Yesterday we were in a Memorial Day parade with Dale's Best Buy and had a lot of fun and today we're bbqing at my dad's and tomorrow at my mom's. Busy holiday weekend for us.

After Caitlin and I changed clothes I asked her if she'd like to walk around Pop and see the different icons. (in reality I thought everyone needed space after grandma kind of blamed Caitlin for the ecv not getting charged) Caitlin agreed so we grabbed the camera and headed out. It had even warmed up enough that we could take our jackets off!

Our first stop was to play a little soccer. Ok, maybe not so little

Then we played some Foosball

I remember wanting one of these phones way, way back in the 70's!

I think everyone who stays at Pop gets a picture with these 2 celebrities!

When we left the 70's we paid a visit to the 80's!

Roger Rabbit! Poor guy, I heard somebody framed him!

After our visit to the 70's and 80's we decided to head back to the room. On our way we passed several worker carts that were all parked in a row. Since no one, CMs or guests, was around Caitlin hopped in one for a picture. She felt very daring

Since I don't think we've said too much about Pop I will give it a mini review here..
This was my second stay at Pop and I have to say I really love this resort! (when Dale and I visited it for the first time last Sept we were really nervous because we really don't like AllStars)

It is a value resort which means it lacks some of the amenities of the mods and of course the deluxes but it makes up for that in several ways. First off, we have found the best resort CMs here. (CSR would be 2nd) Every cast member we've met here has been extremely friendly and helpful. They all seem genuinely happy to be there Another great thing about Pop is the bus system. They don't share buses (that may change when Art of Animation opens tho) so the wait is never long and if one fills another always seems to pull right up! Lastly, the food court is great! The choice selection at every meal is very large and everyone should be able to find something that they like.

On the negative side the rooms are a little small but that is to be expected. The other bad thing is the hairdryer! We have very thick hair and the dryer there just can't handle our hair so if you visit you might want to take your own!

So there you have it! We love Pop and look forward to staying there again!

I think I'll stop my little update here. Our next update will be all about the D23 birthday party and include our Dismeet and some very special characters!

I love your Pop photo session! We totally missed out on seeing Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head. bummer. I agree about the great service at Pop. We had a towel animal there everyday of our stay! Can't wait to hear about the D23 party!

I love the picture of Caitlin with the soccer ball - classic and apropos since I am getting ready to go watch our final soccer game of the tournament.

Poor Caitlin - I still can't believe SHE was supposed to charger the battery pack.

I agree that Pop is a great resort when value and convenience are what you need in a trip. I have always had a great stay there and would probably only want to avoid POP during the high crowd seasons......but I don't like any resort during Easter week!

Love the pics - they are good enough to be in a brochure!

I'm glad you liked POP as much as we did! Granted, I didn't have anything to compare it to, but we had the time of our LIVES at POP. Really great resort. Who needs frills when you wake up to giant disney characters?

Aaahhh I actually have that phone, and all thanks to POP (and my wonderful sister.) ! When I got home from my first trip and was showing the pics of POP to my sister, I showed her the giant mickey phone icon and she gasped. I was like, "what?!" She quickly said, "Nothing," and made me move on.
2 days later she comes home holding the mickey phone and says, "This was at the antique novelty store and I figured you might want it to remember your trip...plus it must be worth something if there's a giant statue in disney for it!"

Anyway, great update. I loved reminiscing through your pics.

Thanks! Actually the potato heads are kind of out of the way. When Dale and I went in Sept we really had to search them out.
Glad you had great service at Pop too! We didn't get towel animals this time although we did daily in Sept. I guess it depends on your mousekeeper.

I actually thought of you when I posted that soccer pic Mary Ellen Hope the boys win!

Since grandma charged it herself each night I don't understand why she thought Caitlin should have realized she was doing it wrong

We usually avoid planning trips during high season so that generally isn't an issue for us but I think the food court must be insane during Easter!

After a bad stay at AllStar we vowed to never stay value again. However, after reading such great reviews of Pop we gave it a try and we're so glad we did!
