The first park you go to

The Magic Kingdom! We feel at "home" the second we walk onto Main Street! Oh how I wish I could be there right now!

we usually go to mk first to. but once in a while depending when we get to our hotel from the amtrak train station, a couple of times we just ate,unpacked and went downtown. then we start a full day at mk.

The Studios. It isn't a vacation yet until I see the Tower...

I think I'd have to start with MGM.

On our arrival day, we're hitting AK first. We'll be too tired from the drive to be at an all day park. Since AK closes at 5pm, we can go back to the resort for a nap, then head to a late dinner at Chef Mickeys.

We switch. The last trip that I remember was this past April and we only had 2 days to hit all 4 parks. On the first day we did AK first because it opened first and closed earlier. We wanted to see Fantasmic so we did MGM in the afternoon-night. On the second day we went to EPCOT then headed over to MK because I had my heart set on saving my favorite for last and my mom, grandparents, and I wanted to see Wishes. I can't remember any of the times before that because I was 7 and under!

We head straight to MK. It's a tradition.

For us it has to the Magic Kingdom. It's not a Disney vacation until we see the castle!

Not only do we go to MK first but we always do Haunted Mansion and Pirates to kick the vaca off

We (dd (18), ds's (21 & 23) and dh) just hop on the first bus that comes. We wait at the bus stop and bet on which park bus will come first. My dd and I will be going without the men next trip. Since we will be getting there on January 6th, we must hit MGM first so that we can see the Osborne Lights and ride RocknRollercoaster before it closes for rehab.

We always head to Magic Kingdom first. I have to see Main Street and the castle before anything else, it gives us a huge jolt of that Disney Magic. Afterwords we usually hop to a different park.

This time around we’ll probably hit Animal Kingdom first for a few reasons: 1) It’s closest to where we’re staying; 2) that was the one park DH and I didn’t visit on our honeymoon, so neither of us have ever been there; and 3) we specifically want to save the Magic Kingdom for DD’s birthday, which is the second full day of our trip.

I used to always do MK first, because it just seemed right. Eventually, I noticed that I never made it to DAK until the 3rd or 4th day of the trip, so I was always a little worn out by the time I got there, which is no good, since there's a lot of walking! I've now started going to DAK first, and it makes a huge difference!

Animal Kingdom here! We are usually tired the first day this gives us time to rest. This year we are doing an early morning breakfast there, besides our first day will be a Saturday and I want to avoid the MK crowd!!!!

We do Epcot or MK first. It depends on EMH and ADRs.

Dis-reality doesn't fully sink in until we are through the gates and staring straight ahead to the castle. We always try to get an early flight so we can bolt right for MK--ride the Wedway, stroll around--then perhaps we hop to another park...or not. Pity I have to wait until October 2007 for my next shot of magic...

I think that's so cool! I've done that a couple times on solo trips, but never (yet) on family trips. We should try it. It's really a great way to start vacation, isn't it?
