It appears the #jodiarias jury is deadlocked as judge just said she intends to read a "modified impasse" instruction the jury.


I guess the judge will decide life or with release

An impasse instruction, or dynamite charge in court lingo, asks jurors to try to reach a unanimous verdict. Not sure what "modified" means

Just let the jury hang and have Judge Stephens IMMEDIATELY sentence her to life in prison without parole and be done with it. Put the poor Alexander family out of their misery and let them have some peace.

And for the record, I vote death penalty.

Of course she would send them back to keep working at it. But they still may come back by the end of the day with out resolve.

They probably WILL come back without resolve.... Didn't the other jury do the same thing? eegads. I don't know how anyone that looked at that evidence would NOT agree to DP...

Just heard on HLN that 8 jurors seem to be sticking together when they go on breaks, so it's looking like a possible 8 - 4 split, like last time. Assuming that those 8 are for death.

OK...I'm going to be totally honest here...as pro- death penalty as I am, I think that one of the reasons that I've been SO intent on JA getting the death penalty is that she's such a despicable person and will never give that family, or the public, any peace. As far as the crime...as horrible as it was, I'm not sure I feel it rises to the level of getting the death penalty. There are people who, IMHO, unquestionably should get death, like the killer of Dr Petit's wife and daughters, Timothy McVey (Oklahoma City), etc.

EVERYONE IS ASSEMBLING IN COURT AGAIN. I think the jury will officially be hung.
